Energy is an indispensable resource for us humans, it enables people to have the ease in their
every day lives because energy gives the power which humans can’t emit with their natural
force. Energy as accessible to everyone has boost the economy growth in each and every country
in the world. According to Zahid (2008), Energy is one of the most important inputs for
economic development. From a physical viewpoint, the use of energy drives economic
productivity and industrial growth and is central to the operation of any modern economy.

With the different forms and sources of energy that the present time has discovered and
achieved, it is visible to the people how efficient it is to live in the present than the past.
However, there are sources of energy that are often disregarded and overlooked. One of these
sources are the ocean. According to Lewis et al (2015), the ocean forms one of the largest yet
least explored renewable energy sources on earth. Ocean energy has the potential for providing a
substantial amount of new renewable and reliable energy around the world.

The vast salt water in the world is the energy that people must master because the demand for
electricity is growing as our population increases. According to Farrok (2020), The consumption
of electrical power is growing rapidly all over the world due to the increase of human population
and technological development. Thus, it is necessary to enhance the capacity of electrical power
generation to meet the global demand.

Energy from salt water or ocean is called wave energy or tidal energy and this renewable type of
energy also has setbacks and one of it is that it can disturb and damage the marine lives that is
near the plant. According to, Almerini (2020), Building plants or electrical wires directly on the
beach might prove challenging because they would be unsightly and can cause damage to marine
life and the surrounding ecosystems.

Ocean energy is a stable and uninterrupted source of energy. According to Almerini (2020),
Waves are hardly interrupted and almost always in motion. This makes electricity generation
from wave energy a more reliable energy source compared to wind power, since wind is not
constantly blowing.
