26_SMED_SDK_ReleasePackage4.0.34.6582. So, you can’t use old version SDK than this
version. And if you use newer version SDK than this version, our software may not or
abnormal work. In this case, contact with our service team or iRay service team with
your SDK version.

1. Installation iRay Software

(1) Insert CD in the detector box to CD drive. Or find in the feel-DRCS installation
CD.

2. Configuration network and installation detector.

2.1. Network Connection

In this manual, circuit connection to the H / W trigger is referred to the user manual
attached to the detector box, and a description thereof will be omitted.

The Mars series detector is wireless-only model. So, be connect the backup-cable for
wireless setting as below.

Connect the RJ45 on the opposite side of the backup cable to the network port of the
PC.

If the battery is empty or low, connect power-cable to detector.

2.2. Connect Power

Push the power button of detector, and check turn on Power of detector.

If success of Power, can see the Battery LED on the display panel of detector.

2.3. Setup Network

(1) Run File Explorer

(2) Select Network and right click of mouse and select Properties

(3) Click Change adapter settings.

(4) Click the network card by connected detector. And right click and select Properties

(5) Click Networking tab and select Configure button.

(6) Click Power Management Tab and uncheck all check box. And push the OK.

(7) Double click TCP/IPv4

(8) Type in IP 192.168.8.188 and empty DNS ip address and Push OK button.

Note : Refer IP address of PC LAN card in the

C:\feel-DRCS\ work_dir\Mars1717V3\config.ini file.

The HostIP means PC IP. And RemoteIP is Detector’s IP address.

If you want to change HostIP(PC IP) address, edit HostIP address of the config.ini file as
same as the IP address of the PC LAN card.(You can change only XXX value of the
192.168.8.XXX) without 192.168.8.1 IP address.(Will use 192.168.9.1 IP address is used
Wireless AP’s IP address.)

(9) Check connection by ping test command.

(10) Setup WIFI Network

Setup the your Wifi AP’s IP address to 192.168.8.1 by using your AP manual.
And also Setup SSID and Password. And then shall note SSID and Password.
- Security : WPA/WPA2 – Personal
- 2.4GHz or 5GHz

(11) Run iDtector.exe in the Feel-DRCS folder.

Select Mars1717V3 in the listed detector and push the Connect button.
If connect, UI is changed to Acquires Page automatically.
Click Detector button.

Click WIFI tab

Check Client check box.

Push the Scan from FPD button and then check your AP in the update list of Wireless
Network.

After checking your AP in the wireless network list, Click the button of Read config.
Click the Add button.
Type in your SSID and Password.
Select added your SSID.

Click Write Config button to complete the setup After checking Wifi infomaion (Click
Read Wifi Status button under Wifi Status info)
When setup is complete, State in the lower left side will change from Busy to Ready

3. Configuration Detector
3.1. Setup Trigger Mode
(1) Run c:\feel-DRCS\iDetector.exe
(2) Select Mars1717V3 and connect. If you can’t connect, check or reboot Detector
using Power S/W on the display panel. And then, follow the below step.

① Click the Detector Button.

② Click the Parameter Tab
③ Click the list control of Trigger mode
: In General, select TriggerMode_FreeSync(means AED or Auto Trigger).
: If you want to use Inner Trigger, select TriggerMode_Inner and then set the value
of Inner SubFlow to “InnerSubFlow_Cycle”.
④ Click the Write button.

Note : Mars 1417/1717 V1, V2 models don’t support a InnerSubFlow_CycleAcq of the

inner SubFlow’s value. This value is support for only Mars1417/1717 V3 model. And
recommend setting of InnerSubflow_CycleAcq when Mars1417/1717 V3 model.

3.2. Setup for Correction mode

As shown above figure, all Offset/Gain/Defect must be checked and HWPostOffset

/HWGain/GWDefect must be cheched.

To use the grid removal function, you must activate it.

[Activation of Grid Removal Function]

(1) Exit the iDetector program.

(2) Using windows file explorer, open the work directory of the detector.
(typically (C:\feel-DRCS\work_dir\Mars17V3 or C:\feel-DRCS\work_dir\Mars1417V3)

(3) Open the iDetectorConfig.ini file.

(4) Change the following setting to "1" and save it and exit.

(5) Run iDetector.exe again.

Check Grid Removal correction option.

3.3. Setup IP address

When use one detector, can use you can use most built-in IP address and Port No.
But if you use two same detector model, you should change IP address.

① Edit IP address in the Src IP.

② Click Write

Note : When change Detector’s IP, you can’t not change 192.168.8.XXX to other A.B.C
class.(for example, 192.168.9.XXX). And after changed IP, you shall have to note or
backup config file of detector. If PC is crash and can’t restore files of detector, you can’t
connect with detector when you don’t know the changed detector’s IP.

4. Detector calibration
Note : recommend shall turn on the detector over 30 minutes before calibration.

4.1. Check the connection with detector

(1) Run C:\feel-drcs\iDetector.exe
(2) Click Calibrate button.
(3) Follow step on the calibrate tab image and push the Start Generate Templates
button.

4.2.2. Gain and Defect Calibration

① Click Create Gain tab.

② Click Start Button.
③ Click Prep

Note: If an error message appears as shown below, the offset calibration is not required, so
perform Gain Calibration. (in the case of freeSync type trigger mode)

i. Set exposure condition of X-ray.

ii. Push PREP(READY) Hand switch of X-ray.
iii. Check READY-ON of the X-ray.
iv. Click PREP button of the calibration software.
v. Take exposure as soon as the Green Progress Bar on the calibration
software display.

④ After acquired image, display image and display value on the Current Value Text Box.
If the value is close to the Expected Value, the Current Value Text box’s color is
changed GREEN. If the color is changed to GREEN, click the Accept Button. If not,
the color is changed to YELLOW, should change X-ray Exposure condition.
⑤ After clicks accept or not accept, the PREP button is activated. When the PREP
button is activated, work same processing of step ④ until Stage : 5/5.

⑥ When activated the Generate Button, click generate button after should check the
check box of Download to FPD after generation
⑦ Defect calibration is worked in the same flow as gain calibration.

Note:
X-ray modality values should be pre-set.
Then click PREP as shown below and the Progress bar, which appears green at the top of
the picture screen, will move for 2 seconds. so X-ray shot should be finished within 2
seconds.
Therefore, before clicking the PREP button, you must click the PREP button to verify that
the X-ray Hand SW is ready for exposure. and press the expsure button of the Hand SW
as soon as the green process bar appears.

You don’t need to change Index no. You just push the button of Download.

4.2.3. Grid Calibration

Fit the detector into the bucky and Set the grid to the fixed position so that it and use

103 line per inch for grid.

① Select 1 Create Grid.

② Click Start button to set the grid calibration.

③ Click Prep button and expsure.

④ Set the Current Value to around 20000, so that the green color appears.

⑤ Check the message button in the red box as above a and click the generate button.

⑥ Check as shown above and go to the Acquire tab to check SWGridRM.

5. feel-DRCS setup
Run c:\feel-drcs\setup.exe for enable the Mars1717 V3 in the Console software after all
the setting of iDetector are done.

① As Mars1717 V3 detector is used alone, select stand bucky or table bucky. If you
want to use both stand and table, select the checkbox of Single(stand).
② Set the path where Detector related data is saved.
③ Set the desired crop width and width when cropping the raw image. (It is
recommended that you don’t crop except in the special cases.)
④ Option
A. Use AED Button.
i. Shall checked when use inner trigger mode.
ii. If you are using the freeSync trigger mode, check or uncheck.
Checked : Detector is ready automatically in the exposure mode.
Unchecked : Detector is ready only when you click AED Button and
activated AED button in the exposure mode.

iii. When checked the AED button, be sure to click the AED button before X-ray
exposure, and take X-ray exposure after confirmed Detector Ready State.
B. Use Preview
i. Check if you want to display the preview-image immediately after x-ray
exposure.

⑤ Click System 2
⑥ Type in by below list for Rotation setup
: After installation, the default value are 0;1 for stand and table. If you don’t need to
rotate, you don’t need to change this value.

A. If detector is only one panel, type in Stand, if detector is two panel, type in
stand and table.
a. Type in Format : A;B
b. A : if you want to get a rotated image after exposure, type in angle
value. This value support only 0, 90, 180, 270.

c. B : Flip horizontal : 1, Flip vertical : 2, But for using iray panel, should
have to type in only “1”.
⑦ When the setting is completed, click the SAVE button to save and exit.

Using the Grid Removal feature

- If Grid Removal and Grid calibration are checked in the Correction setting, the grid
function should be activated in the feel-DRCS as shown below.

- After opening the areaview.ini in the Feel-DRCS folder, change the option value

corresponding to each panel to "1". The default value is "0".

Note: If the grid removol function is an unsupported detector or the function is

activated in feel-DRCS without grid calibration, the detector cannot be Acquired due

to an correction setting error, so be careful when setting it.

The Venu1717X detector is wired-only model and supply the control box. Connect by
below figure.

After the power is applied, check that the LED on the top of the control box turns on as
above.

Make sure POWER and WIRED light are ON on the detector's display as shown below.

(9) Check connection by ping test command.

(10) C:\feel-DRCS\iDetector.exe 를 실행한다.

(11) Select venu1717X from the listed detectors and click the Connect button.

(12) Once connected, check to automatically go to the Acquires page as shown below.

3. Configuration Detector
3.1. Setup Trigger Mode
(3) Run c:\feel-DRCS\iDetector.exe
(4) Select Mars1717V3 and connect. If you can’t connect, check or reboot Detector
using Power S/W on the display panel. And then, follow the below step.

⑤ Click the Detector Button.

⑥ Click the Parameter Tab
⑦ Click the list control of Trigger mode
: In General, select TriggerMode_FreeSync(means AED or Auto Trigger).
: If you want to use H/W Trigger, select TriggerMode_Prep.
⑧ Click the Write button.

Note : If used as Retrofit, set the FreeSync type and set to Prep type if you want to
control via generator and H/W for system.

3.2. Setup for Correction mode

As shown above figure, all Offset/Gain/Defect must be checked and HWPostOffset

/HWGain/GWDefect must be cheched.

Refer to Mars1417/1717177 V3 setup page for us of Grid removal

option.

4. Detector calibration
Note : Before the detector calibration, warm up the detector at least 30 minutes

4.1. Check the connection with detector

(1) Run C:\feel-drcs\iDetector.exe
(2) Click Calibrate button.
(3) Follow step on the calibrate tab image and push the Start Generate Templates
button.

FreeSync type trigger mode, so do not perform the offset calibration and perform the

4.2.2. Gain and Defect Calibration

① Click Create Gain tab.

② Click Start Button.
③ Click Prep

Note:
X-ray modality values should be pre-set.
Then click PREP as shown below and the Progress bar, which appears green at the top of
the picture screen, will move for 2 seconds. so X-ray shot should be finished within 2
seconds.
Therefore, before clicking the PREP button, you must click the PREP button to verify that
the X-ray Hand SW is ready for exposure. and press the expsure button of the Hand SW
as soon as the green process bar appears.

a. Set exposure condition of X-ray.

b. Push PREP(READY) Hand switch of X-ray.
c. Check READY-ON of the X-ray.
d. Click PREP button of the calibration software.
e. Take exposure as soon as the Green Progress Bar on the calibration
software display.

* If you use PREP Trigger mode, you don’t need pus the PREP button.

④ After acquired image, display image and display value on the Current Value Text Box.
If the value is close to the Expected Value, the Current Value Text box’s color is
changed GREEN. If the color is changed to GREEN, click the Accept Button. If not,
the color is changed to YELLOW, should change X-ray Exposure condition.
⑤ After clicks accept or not accept, the PREP button is activated. When the PREP
button is activated, work same processing of step ④ until Stage : 5/5.

⑥ When activated the Generate Button, click generate button after should check the
check box of Download to FPD after generation
⑦ Defect calibration is worked in the same flow as gain calibration.

You don’t need to change Index no. You just push the button of Download.

4.2.3. Grid Calibration

Fit the detector into the bucky and Set the grid to the fixed position so that it and use

103 line per inch for grid.

⑦ Select 1 Create Grid.

⑧ Click Start button to set the grid calibration.

⑨ Click Prep button and exposure.

5. feel-DRCS setup
Run c:\feel-drcs\setup.exe for enable the Mars1717 V3 in the Console software after all
the setting of iDetector are done.

⑧ As Mars1717 V3 detector is used alone, select stand bucky or table bucky. If you
want to use both stand and table, select the checkbox of Single(stand).
⑨ Set the path where Detector related data is saved.
⑩ Set the desired crop width and width when cropping the raw image. (It is
recommended that you don’t crop except in the special cases.)
⑪ Option
A. Use AED Button.
i. Shall checked when use inner trigger mode.
ii. If you are using the freeSync trigger mode, check or uncheck.
Checked : Detector is ready automatically in the exposure mode.
Unchecked : Detector is ready only when you click AED Button and
activated AED button in the exposure mode.

iii. When checked the AED button, be sure to click the AED button before X-ray
exposure, and take X-ray exposure after confirmed Detector Ready State.
B. Use Preview
i. Check if you want to display the preview-image immediately after x-ray
exposure.

⑫ Click System 2
⑬ Type in by below list for Rotation setup
: After installation, the default value are 0;1 for stand and table. If you don’t need to
rotate, you don’t need to change this value.

B. If detector is only one panel, type in Stand, if detector is two panel, type in
stand and table.
a. Type in Format : A;B
b. A : if you want to get a rotated image after exposure, type in angle
value. This value support only 0, 90, 180, 270.

c. B : Flip horizontal : 1, Flip vertical : 2, But for using iray panel, should
have to type in only “1”.
⑭ When the setting is completed, click the SAVE button to save and exit.

Using the Grid Removal feature

- If Grid Removal and Grid calibration are checked in the Correction setting, the grid
function should be activated in the feel-DRCS as shown below.

- After opening the areaview.ini in the Feel-DRCS folder, change the option value

corresponding to each panel to "1". The default value is "0".

Note: If the grid removal function is an unsupported detector or the function is

activated in feel-DRCS without grid calibration, the detector cannot be Acquired due

to an correction setting error, so be careful when setting it.

Set HostIP / HostPort in each detector setting as in the above three examples, and also
change IP of Detector. The three diagrams above are examples, so the installation
engineer sets them up for the field.

1.2. Configuration Exposure Room

In order to support the wireless connection of the detector and the following figure, the
wireless AP configures the LAN cable so that the console PC is set in the room of the
photographing room and the console PC of the operator room.
