1. Situation: The budget for food is a function of the number of a family members.

Problem: The De Guzman’s family has Php 1,000.00 food budget for each member of
their family in one month. Express the total food budget (B) as a function of number
of family members (n) in one month.

Function: B(n) = 1,000n

2. Situation: Water consumed is a function of the number of a family members.

Problem: The De Guzman’s family can drink 10 liters of water for each member of
the family in a week. Express the total water consumed (W) as a function of number
of each member of the family (n) in a week.

Function: W(n) = 10n

3. Situation: The allowance for load is a function of the student.

Problem: The De Guzman’s siblings have a Php 600.00 budget for load allowance in a
month. Express the total load allowance (L) as a function of number of the siblings
(n) in a month.

Function: L(n) = 600n
