and blessing. So, we can attend here with good condition and also happy situation.

has guided us from the darkness to the brightness. Standing here in front of you all, im
Nanda Febiarta Nugraha from Bumi Sholawat Junior High School. Here I want to tell you
about my speech under the title “THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY FOR OUR
EDUCATION”
Can you imagine if our life without technology? I know it feels so hard and empty. I
feel that technology is very influential in our lives, especially in education. We all know that
technology plays an important role in education in our country during the COVID-19
pandemic.
Technology has impacted almost every aspect of life today, and of course, education
is no exception to that. It has affected and impacted the way things are presented and taught
in the classroom to the students. It has largely impacted the materials which are used and the
way use these materials to teach students in the schools
In the last two months, we have witnessed students from primary to tertiary education
use laptops or smartphones to access online learning content while their schools and
campuses are closed. In Indonesia, over 530,000 schools have closed amid the coronavirus
outbreak, affecting 68 million students from pre-primary through tertiary levels, and making
the need for effective technology extremely urgent.
The situation is forcing a very fast and broad increase in the country’s use of
technology, which is expected to have lasting effects on the market. The earlier reluctance to
adopt technology among some of Indonesia’s educational institutions, teachers, and parents
has been turned around by the crisis, as many are now reliant on online and distance
education. I expect the pandemic to accelerate the adoption of online learning methods and to
encourage educational institutions to use remote learning to improve resilience in future
crises.
So the lesson I feel for myself is that the application of technology today has
overcome the negative perspective of parents about the use of technology in the last two
years. they are more aware that yup, we all really need technology to live side by side with
us. especially in the world of education. so let's be wise in exploring this digital world with
good things and developing towards a better one.
