can be gray anodiz ed u pon requ es t (hardnes s 1 2 0 -
1 3 0 HRw , 2 -3 m icron deep). This al low s high pre-
cis ion m echanicalbl ocks and a betterres is tance of
the connecting threads and of the pl u gs and of the
adj u s tm ent pl u gs .

SEALS AND SEALING RINGS

O-RINGS
The s eal ing is achiev ed by m eans of O -R ings both
forthe s tatic (w hen the parts don’t m ov e) and forthe
dy nam ic (w hen there’s m ov em ent betw een theparts
) s ealing. The right dim ens ion of the O -R ing is
fu ndam entalforthe s eal ing. In cas e the O -R ing has
to be repl aced, it is high ly recom m ended to u s eex
actl y the m odel s s pecified in the L U E n s .r.l
. doc- u
m entation.
The O -R ings s u ppl ied are s tandard, m ade of aN B R
com pou nd, hardnes s 7 0 - Shore A , according
to D IN ISO 1 2 2 9 . They are s u itabl e fora tem pera- tu
re range betw een -2 0 ° and + 1 0 0 ° C . In cas ehigher
tem peratu res are reached, it is recom m end-
ed to u s e different com pou nds (e.g. Viton). Thes e
com pou nds are av ail able u pon requ es t.

BACK-UP RINGS
In cas e the O -R ing is s u bj
ect to ex pu l s ion from its s
eat du e to high pres s u re, Parbak rings (hardnes s 9
0 Shore A ) and Teflon (PTF E ) rings are u s ed.
W hen a s ingl e Parbak ring is u s ed, it s hou ld alw ay s
be m ou nted on the s ide w hich is not u nder pres - s u
re w ith res pect to the O -R ing.
