16-Channel Analogue PCB (45-910-595) - Conning Display

31 This PCB is only fitted to Conning Display variant (NNR-A741). Analogue inputs from
Bow Thrusters, Wind Speed, Engine Revs, etc. are applied to the 16-Channel Analogue
PCB, via the interface PCB, and placed on the ISA data bus for processing by the Conning
Display Processor unit.

Floppy Disk Drive

32 This is a standard high density 3.5" 1.44 Mbytes floppy disk drive and is used to
download/upload system information.

Hard Disk Drive

33 The IDE hard disk drive provides a 4.3Gbyte (minimum capacity) storage medium for
programs and data.

CD ROM Drive

34 The CD ROM Drive is connected to the processor via a SCSI interface.

DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

35 The Display Assembly receives video data and sync signals from the Processor PCB
(45-980-0002). The inputs are fed to the Video PCB (NNR-A117-2) for amplification
and current to voltage conversion. The video is then fed via the Tube Base PCB (NNR-A135) to
the Monitor CRT.

36 The Magnetic Amplifier PCB (NNR-A536) senses external magnetic fields and
produces a proportional d.c. current which flows through the compensation coil. The
compensation coil is fitted around the crt shadow mask and compensates for colour degradation
due to changes in direction of the earth*s magnetic field as the ship turns.

SCREEN CONTROL UNIT

37 The Screen Control Unit, comprising keyboard, trackerball and three pushbuttons,
provides the operator interface.
