REFLECTION PAPER

1. VIOLENCE AGAINTS WOMEN

I really can’t figure out why some men do this kind of inappropriate act to women,
especially to the person they love. Many women experienced and experiencing this kind of
violence. Some women are lucky enough that they are able to report it, but some are just
enduring the pain and keeping their mouth shut because they afraid and don’t have the courage to
open their mouth.
This kind of act negatively affects women’s general well-being. I hope that someday all women
should have the rights to live free from this kind of violence.
2. CHILD PROSTITUTION
The number of cases about child prostitution is quite alarming. In the Philippines there are
around 100,000 cases estimated by the UNICEF year 2019. I feel sorry about these group of
youth for experiencing selling their body in exchange of money. They should live a life, studying
and reaching their goals instead of doing this. Poverty, unemployment and lack of education is
the major cause of this problem that’s why to prevent this case I suggest that the government
should enhance their program in helping this group of youth. They can do seminars and give
more job opportunity for the less fortunate member of our society.
3. SEXUAL HARASSMENT
“Monsters” this is how I see a sexual offender. They don’t even deserve to be called as
“man”. Women are much more likely to be victims of sexual harassment precisely because they
more often lack of power than men. However, that's not a factor to be considered, for in the first
place it is the viscous goal of a disrespectful men that causes sexual harassment. It is their self-
centered attitude that made them inhuman which is unjustifiable and unforgivable.
4. DIVORCE
As of now, an annulment is the best option for Filipinos to end their marriages but many
women like Krista did’nt afford it. For me divorce should be legalize in the Philippines so that
women like Krista can escape from their ruined marriage of her irresponsible husband. It is a
right of a women to leave a toxic relationship and live free from stress. A woman must get out of
the relationship as soon as possible, it is a hard decision, but they must love their self and must
decide for their children’s own good.

REACTION PAPER: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

I can’t understand why some people do this kind of violence to their spouse, partner or
family member, I mean, they should be the one who’s supposed to be their companion and
should not be the person they will hate and be afraid of.
Abusive relationships always involve an imbalance of power and control. An abuser uses
intimidating, hurtful words and behaviors to control his or her partner. Not all incidents of this
violence have been reported, some victims are just quiet because of fear to speak, and instead
they are just enduring the physical and psychological pain every day.
This violence must be stop, if you love someone never be their abuser instead be their
savior and protector. The only way to break the cycle of domestic violence is to take action. Start
by telling someone about the abuse, whether it's a friend, loved one, health care provider or other
close contact. For you are not alone and there are people who can help you.
