Attention: Bell Equipment Dealers

Dear Sirs

BELL TECHNICAL TRAINING FOR BELL EQUIPMENT DEALERS - 2018

Bell Equipment Dealers are entitled to one Free of Charge (FOC) technical training course supplied
by Bell Equipment Co SA (Pty) Ltd per year. The following options in relation to the technical training
to all Bell Equipment Dealers, shall apply as follows:

OPTION A: In-country training

• For those Dealers that book technical training in-country, the following shall apply:
o In respect of the first technical training course of the year, the Dealer shall be responsible
for all the trainer’s costs incurred. The costs will include the course fees, flights
accommodation, car hire, meals, visa costs, border/airport levies and local travel costs
incurred by the trainer. The maximum number of delegates as set out below may attend.
o In respect of the one Free of Charge (FOC) technical training course per year, this will
be the second course of the year. The Dealer shall be responsible for the flight cost and
the ground costs, which are the accommodation, car hire, meals, visa costs, border/airport
levies and local travel costs incurred by the trainer. The maximum number of delegates
as set out below may attend.
o Any further technical training required during the year, the Dealer shall be responsible for
all the trainer’s costs incurred. The costs will include course fees, flights and ground
costs, which are accommodation, car hire, meals, visa costs, border/airport levies and
local travel costs incurred by the trainer. The maximum number of delegates as set out
below may attend.
o The course fees for the 2018 technical training courses are 3,300 USD per course.
o A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 delegates per course shall be necessary.
o Dealers are required to provide a training room with a multi-media projector, a projector
screen, a whiteboard, as well as a suitable practical training area with the appropriate
machine for the scheduled training course.

• The following is advisable:

o The Dealers undertakes to make payment of the trainer’s costs prior to the trainer
returning to Bell Equipment Richards Bay. This I necessary to avoid Bell Equipment
being required to invoice the costs to the Dealer.
o Bell Dealers should schedule technical training courses over two successive weeks, as a
cost saving initiative.

OPTION B: Training at Bell Training Centres in SA:

• Dealers booking training at the BECSA training venues in South Africa will be subjected to the
following:
o In respect of the first technical training course of the year, the Dealer shall be responsible
for all their delegate’s costs incurred. The costs will include the course fees, flights
accommodation, car hire, meals, visa costs, border/airport levies and local travel costs
incurred by the trainer.
o In respect of the one Free of Charge (FOC) technical training course per year, this will
be the second course of the year and includes lunch for the duration of the course. The
Dealer shall be responsible for their delegate’s flights and ground costs, which are the
accommodation, car hire and meals.
o Any further technical training required during the year, the Dealer shall be responsible for
all the delegate’s costs incurred. The costs will include course fees, flights and ground
costs, which are accommodation, car hire and meals.
o The course fees for the 2018 technical training course shall be 408USD per candidate, per
course.

GENERAL:

The Dealer is required to take note of the following, which applies to both training options:

• The Dealer must provide the Bell Equipment Technical Training department in Richards Bay
with a list of the names and contact details of the Dealer’s staff requiring technical training (‘the
delegates”), by way of an email addressed to Mr Isaac Arendse (isaaca@bell.co.za).
• The delegates are required to report at the applicable venue on time in order for the course to
commence at 08:00, sharp. Delegates travelling from long distances are advised to arrive the day
before the commencement of the course.
• Delegates are responsible for arranging, at their own cost, their travelling requirements,
accommodation and meals.
• Any quotes provided by Bell Equipment in respect of travelling costs are subject to constant
changes, without prior notice.
• In respect to in-country training courses, the Dealer is required to provide Bell Equipment
Technical Training department with the accommodation details for the appointed trainer and the
host’s contact details in good time, prior to the commencement of the course.
• The delegates are responsible for organising their required PPE (overalls and safety shoes) and
equipment for the duration of the training.
