Site and give at least 2 Effects of Science and Technology on the NURSING SOCIETY and
elaborate further how it really affects your field of study.
Nursing programs vary in the type of technology they use, and they introduce new
technology almost daily. There is no doubt that the future will bring more technological ways to
enhance the educational process for nurses while also improving patient safety.

Nursing information and technology are defined as "specialized nursing sciences with
multiple information and analytical science to practice data, knowledge and wisdom, consumers,
patient and health care team and other stakeholders, to make their decisions in all role And the
institutions to achieve them define favorable results "(American Nurses Association, 2015)

It can be said that of all the ways in which science and technology has improved the lives of
people around the world, none is as important as technological advancement in medicine and
nursing society. From the invention of X-ray machines to advances in surgery, our technology
has become healthier and life expectancy has increased. As we move into the 21st century, we
continue to develop technologies that cure diseases and improve our quality of life. Computer
science and technology are huge aspects if in many ways to communicate, documents and much
more in the field of medicine. There are many management tools to support safe care processes
and evaluate the impact on patient outcomes. This includes famous known EHRs almost
everywhere. Patient education is used when reviewing information management technologies
and applied to patients' planning and documentation.
With the presence of science and technology in nursing society, it may lead to positive
effects which include drug safety, documentation, operating standards and the efficiency of e-
health records. There are some instances that misplacement of records happened in a clinical
stetting. To solve this problem, in most locations we can back up paper medical records using
electronic health records. It can also help when something is not stored correctly, when the
systems do not work or when it is necessary to check whether something is not correctly stored.
Another option is digital patient records, which are intended to facilitate the exchange of
information and at the same time reduce the costs of storing and managing diagrams.
As a nursing student right now, science and technology in very important and useful form my
nursing practice. I do believe that it has a significant impact and I remember my subject last
semester which is the Nursing Informatics. I think the effects of science and technology in
nursing society is the same as the impact of nursing informatics that addresses as nursing
students on the importance of technologies in nursing field. The use of mobile technology in
nursing gives students (and working nurses) instant access to drug references, diagnoses, medical
textbooks and more using apps and online guides on smartphones and tablets. Plus, mobile
technology is highly valued and used in healthcare settings — one article notes that healthcare

professionals use smartphones and tablets most often to achieve better staff coordination,
improve patient communication and gain easier access to electronic health records (EHR).

In conclusion, I want to say that science and technology are a great aspect of care because
they help us communicate, improve, and heal our patients. What has been discussed clearly
shows that it is important for nursing practice. And not only that, but with the drawbacks of
technology, there are many ways to reduce and improve them. Its effects in medicine are diverse.
In general, they are there to improve patient care and achieve better outcomes. Technology in
general will always have weaknesses, but I think it is important to nursing society which I am
taking for and should never be overlooked.
