CHECK LIST FOR ITEMS REQUIRING ATTENTION BEFORE ARRIVAL

ALONGSIDE AT CABO NEGRO FOR LOADING METHANOL.

• ALL CARGO TANKS CHECKED DRY BEFORE ARRIVAL FOR WALLWASH AND
BEFORE ARRIVAL AT THE BERTH ?

• ALL CARGO LINES CHECKED DRY AS ABOVE ?

• NO TANK ENTRY ALLOWED BY SHIPS PERSONNEL ONCE ALONGSIDE.

• LOADING PIPE SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST AFTER MANIFOLD RIGGING, AND


ALL FLANGES,DRAIN VALVES, PUMPSTACK VALVES TIGHT ?

• EMPTY DRUMS READY AT EACH PUMP STACK READY TO RECEIVE LINE


FLUSHING PRODUCT ?

• 5 CLEAN CLEAR PLASTIC HOSES READY FOR USE AT PUMPSTACK DRAIN. ?

• PLAN FOR 3 to 5 TEAMS TO OPERATE WHEN LINE FLUSHING THIS DEPENDS


UPON HOW MANY TANKS ARE LOADING.

EXAMPLE

TEAM (A) = supercargo / sgs surveyor / one deck crew


TEAM (B) = deck officer / sgs surveyor / one deck crew
TEAM (C) = Bosun / sgs surveyor / one deck crew
Etc,etc
CCR = deck Officer opening tanks on instruction from Chief Off only.

ALWAYS docking port side too, with shore gangway provided.

One or two chiksan loading arms depending upon ships requirements.

Fresh water is available ex pipe at Cabo Negro, request to Agent at arrival Punta Arenas if
you wish to take water at the berth, its only designated Industrial grade.

Ships crew ARE NOT ALLOWED to walk further than the end of the jetty, and if crew wishing
to pass through the plant,then agent needs to be contacted and he will make the necessary
arrangements.

Loading arms can take maximum 5 bar pressure , and normally this class of ship can handle
load rate over 2000 m/t-hr , with load arms pressure max 4 bar.

SGS surveyor will be on board throughout loading and he has immediate contact with shore
for slowing down rate, stopping etc.

IT IS ALWAYS A SHIP STOP AT CABO NEGRO !

Keep ship alongside with ropes tight , if you move more than 2 meters forward or aft then
loading will automatically shut down.
