MONSTERS GURU OFFER LETTER AND AGREEMENT

1. Terms of appointment

Tutors who work at Monsters Guru need to make an online tuition class VIA GOOGLEMEET/ZOOM
OR ANY OTHER SUITABLE ONLINE PLATFORM as long client okay with it. To do that, tutor MUST HAVE
A LAPTOP/TABLET/SMARTPHONE that can be used during the class WITH GOOD INTERNET
NETWORK too.

a) All tutors accepted to work with us, is in a part-time position. This means, this tutor
position is your part-time position because you are also bound by other commitments
such as permanent positions, full-time students and so on. In this part-time position, all
tutors have the option to teach according to their free time or desire, that is, whether
teaching only during the day, teaching only at night, teaching on Saturday and Sunday
only, teaching on Monday to Friday only, teaching for 1 client only or so on. So, tutor need
to choose the client wisely so that you don’t have problem in future with the time
convenience.

b) Our concept is first come, first serve. So, each time we post the job vacancy in the
WhatsApp group, you need to quickly respond to it if the job related to your preference
age and subject. If not, you may ignore the job and wait for another post. The date and
time of teaching will mostly decide by client. If we got demand, then we will post the job
vacancy. If no demand, nothing will happen, and you will not pay anything.

c) Tutors need to pick the job which related to your expertise only. Monsters Guru will post
subject that the client need only, such as, Client A want tutor for subject Science Form 4.
If the subject and age is your expertise, then you can quickly grab the job post. If not, just
ignore the post. Back to the point, subject and age will be on tutors, but we did not provide
the job post all the time since we depend on the client’s demand only.

2. Contract Policy

Contract policy with the Monsters Guru consist of 5 terms:

a) Must teach at least 3 months

If a tutor is given 1 teaching job, you must teach the client for at least 3 months. If you teach
the client for less than 3 months, your teaching allowance in the last month will be deducted
50% of the total allowance should be received. EXCEPT in situations where the client himself
is applying to postpone the class for less than 3 months, your allowance in the last month is
not deducted. Ideally, after a period of 3 months, the tutor can choose to release the job.

b) Greet the client

Once you secure the client, or once we confirm that you are assigned to the client, it is
compulsory to contact the client as soon as possible (A.S.A.P) by introducing yourself from
Monsters Guru and will teach the client on certain that and time. This is to ensure the process
will be smooth and client will know to whom they should contact in case any emergency
happen. Once we give the client’s contact number, you should directly contact the client. Even
if the class will start in 2-3 weeks, tutor still need to contact as soon get the contact number.

c) Teaching SOP

All tutors must follow the following SOP of teaching:

• Be on time.
• Greet the student.
• Recite prayer (if Muslim)
• Start the class on time/earlier.
• Say thank you at the end of the class.
• Be mindful of your word.

d) Teaching professionally

Monsters Guru has own stand where we really care about the quality of teaching, so, tutor
need to always make the best teaching session by showing effort during the class. For

example, tutor prepare good slide to teach, flashcard or teaching in an exciting way so the
student will enjoy the class. To ensure all tutor teaching well, we will observe your teaching
session every month. If we did not satisfy with the teaching session, we will not hesitate to
change the tutor immediately.

e) Teaching materials

All teaching materials will be prepared by your own. Monsters Guru will not provide any
teaching materials unless we have the materials, and you cannot find any good materials. To
be precise, tutor need to prepare their own teaching slides, materials by themselves.

f) Class cancels by client without notice

If the client did not inform you that they want to cancel the class, we will not compensate
tutor because we pay by teaching hour. So, the best way to avoid this issue is, tutor need to
contact the client earlier to remind them. Besides, if after 15 minutes the client still did not
respond to your class, you can just move on and decide with the client with the replacement
class.

g) Must be responsible

If a tutor agrees to take client, you MUST BE RESPONSIBLE with your client. If you have
urgency/emergency cases that make you postpone the class, you need to inform the client
and Monsters Guru’s person in charge before 24hour (1 day earlier) and find a solution such
as find temporary substitute teacher or inform at least a day earlier so that the client will not
be mad with you. Either way, tutor must take good care of your own reputation or image in
front of the client. The cancel’s class MUST BE REPLACE.

h) Termination of client’s class

If a tutor wants to terminate the class that has been taken, which mean you do not want to
teach the class anymore by your own self or own reason, you need to find new teacher to
replace you, or MUST INFORM AT LEAST 2 WEEKS EARLY. In addition to that, we need to
deduct your payment for that month by 50% as we need to recover the loss. This is the case
within 3 months of teaching, if after 3 months, we will accept and did not deduct the payment.

i) Do not take our client without our permission

It is forbidden for tutor to take our client and make the client your own client. If found out,
you will be charged, and we will automatically terminate our contract.

j) Teaching sessions

Every month, Monsters Guru will join tutor’s class to observe the class. Other than that, we
will take a snap or record a video of your teaching and will post to Monsters Guru social media
platform such as Facebook Page, Instagram and TikTok. So, if tutor did not want to expose
your face, please let us know so that we can cover your face or detail. Tutor are asked to share
any photo or video of teaching sessions to Monsters Guru every month. When client sent you
feedback, please share or forward to Monsters Guru so that we can post in our page.

k) Change Tutor

Monsters Guru has the right to change the current tutor if:

1. Request by client to change to another tutor

2. Client complaint about the tutor
3. Did not reach our expectation of teaching

3. Allowance and Incentive Rate

a) Payment of allowance for tutors serving under the Monsters Guru is as follows:

PERSONAL CLASS 4 SESSIONS (1 Session = 1 Hour)

▪ For kindergarten age 3-6:

Rate per hour 4 hour a Month

▪ For primary school standard 1-3:

Rate per hour 4 hour a Month

▪ For primary school standard 4-6:

Rate per hour 4 hour a Month

▪ For secondary school form 1-3:

Rate per hour 4 hour a Month

▪ For secondary school form 4-5:

Rate per hour 4 hour a Month

b) Every month, class will be made for 4 sessions only, which mean 4 weeks. If certain months
got 5 weeks, the 5th week will not have any class if you had done all 4 sessions for that month. For
example, in July 2021, this month have 5 weeks, and you complete the 4 sessions (4 hours) for July.
So, by week 5 no need to make any class. Do remind the client if the client forgot about this.

c) Tutors need to ensure that they have / activate bank account for the purpose of payment
of allowances because the management of Monsters Guru only conducts transactions through online
transfer only. For tutors who do not yet have a bank account, you can open it as soon as you get a
teaching job.

d) Payment of allowance will be made directly to the tutor's account by 7th of every month
based on your teaching hour. This aims to ensure that the tutors have already successfully completed
the teaching classes for all hours as allocated in the current month to get the full allowance from the
management.

e) Monsters Guru has the right to increase the teaching rate if we get special kid to teach, or
another special request made by client. We will also consider increasing the teaching rate based on
tutor’s performance, our focus is excellent in teaching, good cooperation with Monsters Guru, actively
provide teaching feedback such as videos, client’s feedback to Monsters Guru and so on.

f) The teaching rate only based on hour teaching/student. Example, if tutor teach a group of
3 students of Standard 1, you will get RM11/hour/student, or RM33/hour for 3 students.

g) The rate is fixed. Once you agree with this agreement, you are not allowed to negotiate the
rate anymore. We will increase if we feel worth to increase the rate. We also had mentioned few times
that our rate is RM11/hour and if tutor agree to it, we consider the tutor okay with the rate.

4. Selection & appointing of teaching jobs

a) Each teaching job will be posted only through WhatsApp group ‘Monsters Guru’.
Therefore, it is important for a tutor to have a smartphone that has an internet network in addition to
actively opening the WhatsApp group. This is to facilitate the delivery of information from your
manager to all tutors.

b) Tutors who are interested in jobs as advertised in the WhatsApp group should as soon as
possible personal WhatsApp to person in. Job placement will depend on the earliest tutor who makes
the application if it meets the requirements and qualifications set.

c) There is no application limit allocated. This means, the tutor can choose as many jobs as
possible even though the tutor already has many teaching jobs if you are confident of being able to

give a good commitment for each job you choose. Tutors need to be responsible of each client and
cannot easily drop the client if suddenly you feel like cannot handle the class anymore. Hence, PLEASE
pick the job vacancy wisely.

d) However, to maintain the justice and welfare of each tutor, tutors who have not got any
job due to delay in opening WhatsApp group due to lack of internet network, working, new tutor or
so, the person in charge will first offer you a job directly (direct) to you first. If you refuse, then the
person in charge will post the rejected job into the WhatsApp group to be given the opportunity to
other interested tutors. Be reminded that post job in WhatsApp group is dependent on vacancy.

e) If we notice that some of tutor who did not actively teaching for 3 consequence months,
we will automatically terminate our contract, and you will be removed from Monsters Guru WhatsApp
group. Unless the subject that you’re teaching haven’t been offered in the group, we will not terminate
the contract. For instance, Monsters Guru post the job many times, and not even once you tried to
grab the job that related to your preference, we will terminate you.

5. Teaching Report & Student Report Card

a) At the end of each month, the tutor must SUBMIT a teaching report to the person in charge
indicating that the tutor has already completed the class in the current month. Tutor must submit
every month, on 5th. This is to ensure that the full payment of allowances can be paid to the tutor as
well as to avoid delaying the payment of allowances to the proper tutor. Reports should be sent via
WhatsApp directly to person in charge. Refer example of teaching report in Appendix.

b) Teaching report card must be prepared based on student’s performance during that month.
If you teach 6 students, you need to prepare all 6-report card for each student. If the student takes 2
subjects with you, you need to prepare 2 report cards. 1 report card/ subject/ student. Even if you
teach siblings, still need to separate the report card. Monsters Guru also provide the report card, but
if you want to make your own, it is okay. The teaching report will be sent to the client by Monsters
Guru. From here, we can get the client’s feedback for the tutor too.

c) Each tutor must ensure that the number of hours / classes allocated to you for a client is
spent in the current month. But if there is already an agreement with the client about the replacement
class time, then it does not matter if the class is changed.

d) The important element that needed to be in the report card are:

• Student’s name, age, subject taken

• Tutor’s name
• Month of teaching
• Grade for quiz, and homework
• Tutor’s comment for the student

6. Tutor’s Benefits

All tutor who has work with Monsters Guru for more than 3 months and handle more than 7 students
per month with good review from the students, the tutor may get benefits such as:

▪ Internet bill paid by Monsters Guru up to 50%

▪ Reward for every 6 months
▪ Increase teaching rate/hour

7. Meeting Sessions

a) Monsters Guru’s Tutor MUST attend training sessions (skills tutor) and skills upgrades to be
held by the Monsters Guru on an annual basis. In this training session, the tutor will:

▪ Learn various latest teaching techniques that can be applied and practiced to their
respective students
▪ Share teaching experience with other tutors
▪ Learn how to motivate students to interest in learning

b) For meeting sessions, attendance is not required. Usually, a meeting will be held with an
active tutor. Through this meeting, tutors can take the opportunity to get to know each other and
share ideas and teaching experiences.

DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF APPOINTMENT

I understand that by agreeing to this agreement, I am becoming part of Monsters Guru’s Tutor that

will teach the student with committed and full of passion. I also understand that my responsibilities

as a tutor in Monsters Guru are:

▪ Complete the teaching hours as stated in the clients detailed.

▪ Understand and agree to all policies mentioned above.

▪ Start the class at the scheduled time (on time).

▪ Follow the teaching guideline given by Monsters Guru.

▪ Report changes with attendance, level of participation, and contact information.

▪ Communicate with the staff regarding any issues I might have.

I understand and agree with the tutor responsibilities and commit to work as stated in the agreement.

I agree to share my contact information with my student. I also understand that it is my responsibility

to contact my student in case of cancelation at least 24 hours before my session. I WILL NOT

TERMINATE THE CLIENT FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS and if I do, I will need to compensate the loss.
