Job Description- Research Associate – Monitoring,

Evaluation and Learning (MEL) - New Delhi

Report To: Head Skilling/Director-Skilling

2.1 Function:
Reporting to the Head Skilling, you will be responsible for;
·Tracking the annual plan of operations (APOs) against the physical target and
outputs, outcomes, and reporting to the Team leader /State Manager against the
deviations.
·Identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and bottlenecks in the delivery of
Outputs/business services to clients/customers and share them with the state and
HO
·Assist in web-surfing and screening of potential donors and keep a track of the
important timeline for submission of concept notes and proposals
·Assist in conducting background research for developing concept notes and
proposals.

2.2. Specific Responsibilities

2.2.1. Grant and Program Management Support


·Support all MEL initiatives for the assigned grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring
data quality, tracking the progress of activities.
·Revising/Prepare the project objective hierarchy and log frame matrix; Relevance,
Efficiency, Effectiveness, Impact and Sustainability (REEIS) and using other MEL tools
to set a effective MEL mechanism.
·Lead and facilitate process of preparing, tracking and analyzing Annual Plan of
Operations (APOs) and ensure timelines
·
·Agreeing how to record, report and analyze progress against the Annual Plan of
operations (APO) and designing the for­m at of such progress reports;
·Reviewing existing social and economic data for the project area to assess if it can
provide good baseline data for impact evaluation, identifying gaps to be filled;
·Drawing up the TOR, designing and costing out a baseline survey, needs assessment
survey and studies (as appropriate) by the
Consultants/Interns/Students/Volunteers;
·Reviewing the reports of baseline surveys, needs assessment survey and studies
conducted by the Consultants/Interns/Students/Volunteers;
·Reviewing monitoring reports to assess interim impacts and identify causes of
potential bot­t lenecks in implementation;
Preparing Social media posts and their circulation at various platforms

2.2.2 Data Management and Analysis


·Keep abreast of developments in grant/program changes and progress in order to
advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase program performances and
results.
·Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within field teams.
·Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management
systems and propose solutions.
·Perform regular field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Programs and
to verify the accuracy of reported data.
·Analyze changes and patterns in KPI indicator data and performance reports in order
to support Program staff and Head Skilling
·Support the Head Skilling to ensure that donor, partner, and Senior Management
data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
·Support and participate in program and project evaluations

2.2.3. Business Development and Communication
·Support Head Skilling in reviewing donor reports to ensure high-quality reports are
submitted on time for this grant/program.
·Review and analyze weekly reports with the Head Skilling to identify the causes of
potential bottlenecks in project implementation and to enhance the quality of
reporting.
·Conduct background research and write concept notes and proposals for training,
research studies, evaluation assignments, and proposals

3. Monthly Salary:
Between 38,000 to 45,000 per month depending upon the salary history, past
experiences
