PROJECT DESCRIPTION

CAPITALMED is a medical tertiary care full-service health and medical city will provide high-
quality personalized medical care for Egypt, Africa, the MENA Region and Europe. It will include
3000+ beds, 450 ICUs, 40 Operating Rooms and 15,000+ multi-disciplinary health care
providers offering nearly 100 specialties assigned to operate the medical city.

CAPITALMED will offer a highly advanced Integrated health and medical services in one place
for all age groups and types of patients guided by the most advanced technology and highest
quality in wide range of Specialties. In addition, CAPITALMED will include academic and
research activities that mix the learning opportunities and the access to high-tech facilities.
CAPITALMED will also incorporate substantial non-medical services to support the staff,
patients, and visitors. The non-medical services include retail, hotel and transportation systems.

CAPITALMED Project Framework:

- +3000-bed; state-of-the-art medical/health complex on 144 acres.

- The leading and most advanced medical city in the Middle East & Africa planned to fill an
evident demand-gap and to satisfy the needs of local, regional, and international clients.

- More than 966,435 m2 of Health & Medical Services and +/- 404,000 m2 of landscape and
green areas.

- CAPITALMED includes Badr University Hospital Center, Doctors’ Plaza, Simulation Center,
Virtual Hospital, Precision Medicine Institute, Transplant Institute, Rehab & Wellness Institute,
Trauma & Emergency Institute, 12+ other Health & Medical Institutes covering integrated
specialties, Research & Development (R&D) Institute of Advanced Health & Medicine,
Hospitality Services, and Commercial & Retail Facilities.

- The total built-up area is 30% of the total land area (equal more than 173,000 m2),
- 20% of the total land area is allocated for medical buildings (equal more than 115,400 m2),
- 5% of the total land area for residential use (equal more than 28,850 m2),
- 5% of the total land area for commercial use (equal more than 28,850 m2),
- 70% of the total land area is allocated for the landscape, green areas, and internal roads
(equals +/- 404,000 m2).

- Egypt has a unique geographical position in Northeast Africa, at the crossroads of Europe
Africa, and Asia, on the Mediterranean and Red Sea.
- CAPITALMED is located directly within Greater Cairo (Egypt’s Capital City)
- Center of major expanding urban centers, with a population of 5+ million within a 20- minutes
radius, and 20+ million within a 90-minutes radius.

- Direct access to major national highways network with unrestricted national access.

- 20 minutes from Cairo International Airport, and 10 minutes from the New
Mega International Airport of the New Capital.

CAPITALMED TIMELINE:
