Classroom management plan for elementary school

Spanish class
Classroom rules: POSSIBLE REWARDS
• Class pizza party if class
• Keep hands and feet to yourself
receives 10 good behavior
• No talking while teacher is talking or whoever the speaker is. points
• Be kind to each other • Call home about good behavior
in class
• Listen to directions given • Prize from the prize box
• Raise your hand when wanting to speak or leave the room

Consequences:
• Moving behavior magnet from green to yellow. (First warning)
• Moving behavior magnet from yellow to red. (Call home)
• Moving behavior magnet from red to “Time for conference” (Trip to principal’s office)
• Taking points away for class pizza party.

Class procedures start of class:


• Students will come in and put away their backpacks and coats in their assigned cubbies.
• Students will sit at assigned seat (groups of four) and say “here” when they hear their
names called.
• Teacher will tell students to take out homework to collect and students will put it in the
middle of their 4 desks while teacher comes around and collects the homework.
• We will go over the agenda for the day together.

Class procedures end of class:


• Teacher will tell students the homework that is the due the next day, and to make sure
they have it in their “take-home” folder.
• Students will stack chairs quietly when the end of the day bell rings.

Class procedures during class:


• Students grouped desks will be assigned a number. When leaving class as a whole,
teacher will call on one group at a time to line up.
• When wanting to use the bathroom raise three fingers, when wanting to get a drink of
water raise 2 fingers and grab bathroom hall pass when given permission to go.
• When class gets too loud, I will ring a bell and instruct students to show me five fingers,
until all eyes are on me and all noise stops.
• If students feel overwhelmed, emotional, or angry towards another student they can go to
the “cool down area.” This area will have stress toys, comfy chairs, markers for drawing,
and books for reading. Students can return to the original class environment once they
feel they have cooled down
