Long time ago, there was a Princess who lived in a Barrio located in the Western part of Loboc. A
gorgeous lady having long black hair, while colored skin, a beautiful lips and a sexy body. Every one in the
barrio admired her.
One day, the king told his princess:
“Aza you’ve grown already. You are in the right age to settle down. Go ahead, I am giving you the
consent.”
“Thanks pa, but I have not seen yet a man to marry.” replied Aza, the Princess.
(SOMEONE STRMMED A GUITAR OUTSIDE)
“Wise men say, only fools rush it for I can’t help falling in love with you. Oh shall I stay, would it be
a sin. Oh, if I can’t help falling in love with you.
“Who’s that?” replied the King.
“A suitor of mine father” frown a face
“Come in” said the King to her suitor named Nathan.
“I am here to court your daughter, asking for her hand with your blessing”
“Oh father no”
“We talked about this already”
“Sorry Nathan but my daughter had her lover already”
“But I heard she has none”
“You heard an false news”
“Oh really?”
“Maybe it’s time for you to leave”
“Thank you King and my dear Princess”
Days passed few of her suitors came to their house bringing lechon and foods to celebrate with the King
but still said no.
“Princess Aza? King Ora?
“They are not here!”
“Oh there they are”
“Sorry we doesn’t hear your voices inside”
“You may come in”
“Were here to court your daughter oh King and ask for your blessings”
“Father, please tell them”
“I cannot lie again to them my daughter”
“Ok fine, I would do it”
“I your princess would not accept any suitors anymore, I had a lover outside this barrio” lied the
Princess. She walked away.
After that the suitors left the barrio and the king asked them to never come back.
Weeks passed, Aza found a way outside their barrio.
It’s a secret passage way, covered with tall grasses and trees. Around it was tons of butterflies and bees
and sparkling water too. She did everything to get it opened.
“Butterflies, how gorgeous. Is that wings of yours”
“Oh what’s behind these?”
She found a diamond-like stone sparkling and then hit it with stone. And she was shocked, it was
opened.
“Oh no what have I done?”
Someone whispered behind her.
“Go and walk along my dear Princess”
“Where is the passageway goin?”
“To a place you never know”
She walked peacefully and reached the Barrio Gotozon.
“Oh, how nice is this a Barrio?”
 “I never knew there is this kind of place here”
She explored the barrio and met a guy who was working very hard, that cause her heart beat fast.
“Who’s that handsome guy?” she whispered to herself.
Another creature whispered to her.
“He’s the most handsome guy in this barrio named Rylandrien, a hardworking and caring man”
“Oh, I would make him fall in love with me”
“If you could my dear princess.”
“I am gorgeous and lovable, no one would ever resist my beauty”
She followed Rylandrien every day and would spy him. She knew what he did everyday and one day
she showed up to Rylandrien.
“Oh, hi there Mr. handsome” said she.
“Hi, madame are you new here?”
“Oh yes, I am from the other barrio”
“Oh, I see. But why are you here?”
“I am here because of you”
“I’ve been watching you from afar almost a week”
“And why is that madame?”
“It’s because I liked you, I am in love with you”
“Oh sorry, are you sure with what you are saying?”
“Yes, I am indeed sure”
“You don’t know me madame, I know it’s just purely puppy love you fell”
“Why are you rejecting me? Do you know I am a princess?”
“Yes I know you and you are from the barrio whom they always gossip about. A barrio having a
princess that chooses their life partner.”
“Oh, yes because they didn’t pass my standards”
“I have the right to choose whom I am going to marry”
“Sorry my lady but I have also the right to choose a woman whom I am going to marry”
“And it’s not you”
“We don’t know each other”
“I do know you!”
“No, you don’t know me well”
The princess cried and kneeled before Rylandrien and the rain fell sympathized the Princess because the
guy left and with tears. She went home with a sad heart and face. Her father welcomed her once again.
“My daughter, where did you come from?”
“Gotozon, Rylandrien, Gotozon, Rylandrien” she said repeatedly.
She was looking from a distance crying and shouting.
“Huh? What’s wrong with Barrio Gotozon my daughter? Please tell I am confused.”
Let’s go back there father” she pleaded.
Her father guided her back to the barrio. And a knife stabbed her heart, seeing Rylandrien with his
woman, hugging each other.
“What!!!”
“No, no, no, father he’s mine” pointing her hand to Rylandrien.
“No, he’s mine!!!”
“I want him to be mine!!!”
“Please stop my daughter, let’s go home”
“No father, I would rather die than live without him”
Because of her long for love to Rylandrien, she decided to lock herself in a room and never goes out.
The news spread all over the barrio. And one day they could not hear from that room. And when they
opened they saw a sentence, “JIMILI KO” and that means that their princess chooses her life partner and also
the generations to come. Later, the barrio was named “JIMILIAN” because of the attitude of their princess
once had.
