Non impact printers are much better than than the impact printers. They have the ability to print
24 pages per minute. They do not make any noise and they are much expensive than impact
printers.
Inside the Laser printer there is a drum firstly the image is created on the drum and secondly it
transfer on the paper. The main function which is used to get image on to the paper is throwing
magnetic ink powder in the form of microscopic dots.
Laser printers are able to produce a very high quality of text and graphics in high quality of
resolution. Laser printers are able to print one page at a time therefore these printers are also

A inkjet printer typically give 300 dots resolution per inch but some new models can give better
resolution as well. These printers are also capable of giving high quality of color graphics and
photos. These printers are cheaper than laser printers . But they are considered slower and they
also require special type of ink that is considered the drawbacks of Inkjet Printers . And they are
only able to print 1 to 6 pages per minute .
Thermal printers gives a very high quality of output print . It is much expensive than than laser
printers and Inkjet Printers.
Although it is replaces by inkjet printers. Dot matrix printers are still using because of their
reliability and their accuracy. They are cheaper and their ability to print multiple forms . It made
up of characteristics by striking an inked ribbon with thin pins . It has a very high resolution
level .
