AsapSCIENCE. “Do Video Games Make You Violent?” YouTube, YouTube, 23 Aug.

2018, www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ixUGwk6IC8.

This video details whether or not video games are a cause to violence. The

creators explain with scientific analysis and detail, so I think that they are

trustworthy. Gun rights lobbyists like the NRA frequently use this excuse in their

fight against gun control legislation. This video talks about this concept of

“priming”, and the psychological impact on a human being. It also talks about

certain studies that have investigated this idea. All in all, video games are proven

to not cause gun violence. This would be ideal for anyone who is interested in gun

violence, a psychologist, a criminologist, or just any average teenager who plays

video games.

“Gun Laws, Loopholes, and Violence.” Brady,

www.bradyunited.org/issue/laws-and-loopholes.

This article talks about the different gun laws that we currently have in place, and

the different ways they are abused. I think this is trustworthy because many other

sources I looked at had the same information. This article talks about the gun

show loophole; how guns are bought legally in commercial gun shows without

background checks or waiting periods, and about online gun sales, how guns are
bought online through the masses without any credibility. The list goes on and on.

This would be helpful for a politician, criminologist, gun sellers, or just anyone

who’s interested in this particular topic.

This is a real-life story from the mother of the Columbine shooter, Dylan Klebold.

It’s a personal account of a mother who has a connection to one of the deadliest

shootings ever, and I think that she can be trusted. In this video, she talks about

what her son was like before the shooting, and about her fight to try and prevent

future tragedies like that from ever happening again. She also talks about her

process in healing and the connection that gun violence and mental health share.

The purpose of this video is to educate anyone, literally anyone, about the warning

a potential criminal might show, and the psychological buildup that leads to

tragedies to Columbine.
