1. In ancient Egypt men stayed at home and did weaving. Women
handled family business. Women inherited property and men did
not.
 GENDER- socially constructed, according to my research

2. In one study of 224 cultures, there were 5 in which men did all
the cooking, and 36 in which women did all the housebuilding
 GENDER- men are no better at cooking than women,and no
women are better at house building that men. Both men and
women can do both work according to their skills and
knowledge because it can be taught and learned.
3. Men are susceptible to prostate cancer, women are not.
 SEX- prostate cancer is probably hormonal.
4. There are more women than men in the caring professions such
as nursing.
 GENDER- Gender does not affect rank or opportunity for
nurses because everyone can be a nurse according to
their knowledge, skills, and professionalism.
5. According to UN statistics, women do 67 per cent of the world's
work, yet their earnings for it amount to only 10 percent of the
world's income.
 GENDER- Ladies regularly get paid less than men for doing the
same or almost the same work
