This document contains two sample self-assessments. The first is a rubric for students to evaluate their own abilities to sequence ideas, use multimedia resources, observe oral language conventions, and deliver a privilege speech. The second is another self-assessment rubric where students can rate their understanding and abilities for determining types of journalistic texts, writing and evaluating articles, making an article on economic mobility, and doing a 3-minute broadcast on local events. Both self-assessments are designed to help students evaluate their own skills and understanding in order to identify areas where they need help or have mastery.
