Huaraz is a very beautiful city that is
located in the department of Áncash,
and it is the second most populated
city in the department, where you
can perform different activities, such
as canopy, trekking, bungee
jumping, which are extreme sports.
You can also visit interesting places
such as parks, museums, theaters,
ancient places such as the Christ of
Yungay, which was previously a city,
but due to an earthquake the entire
city was covered and became a
cemetery, its national heritage is the
baths. . . from Monterrey, churup
lagoon, Wilkacocha lagoon. In this
city we can see different tourist
attractions such as the snowy
mountains of Alpamayo and
Huascarán, which are wonderful.
Huaraz is a small city, but we find large shopping
centers, many lagoons such as llanganuco,
lagoon parón, among others, there are no trains,
but there are bus stations, there are many
prestigious restaurants, one of them is close to
the Plaza de Huaraz exactly two blocks from the
cathedral, next to the cathedral is the San
Sebastián tabernacle and in front is the
archaeological museum of Huaraz where the
treasures of this region are kept. Near the
Alameda Grau park is the San Francisco church
that is around the corner from the cathedral on
Comercio street con 28. We can also see that in
Carhuaz they sell the best artisan ice creams and
it is 1 hour from the same city, in this city you can
see many snow-capped mountains, lagoons,
thermal baths, we can also see that there are few
cinemas, there are few health centers, there are 2
known universities, but one of the most beautiful
things that we can observe in Huaraz is the white
mountain range.
In Huaraz you can find different shops to buy
clothes, one of the best known and visited by
tourists is the Traditional Fair, located in front of
the Plaza de Armas, it offers all kinds of varieties
from coats, sweaters, wool hats typical of the
region, its hours of operation are from 8:00 in the
morning until 6:00 in the afternoon. In Huaraz you
can also find crafts from the region, the most
popular places for the quality it offers, JR José
Olaya pasaje Zaramulla 120, Huaraz 02002, its
team of workers is made up of the peasant
community, it also offers natural dyes. Without a
doubt, Huaraz has a great variety of natural
products that I couldn't find anywhere else: such
as lupine flour and billet. These products are
found in PeruTambo located in front of the
regional hospital. Although it is what attracts
tourists, it is also the quality and attention they
provide from your arrival.

At the end of our tour we have places to eat, the

best known are the TAITA restaurant where you
can find the typical food of that city called
"Chocho" and they also specialize in telling the
history of Huaraz through photographs that are all
over the place. Then to the north of the city is the
restaurant La Calle José, it is recommended to go
specifically on Sundays because the hours are a
little longer and there are more dishes, you can
also find a fair of different dishes such as
pachamanca, tamales and etc. If you want to eat
a delicious pizza, I recommend you go to "My
Pizzeria" which is located near the main square
and is delicious and cheap.
