Project Scope Statement
Project Justification:
Clinic Information Management Systems are computer software products that coordinate and
integrate all the inherent activities involved in the management and running of a healthcare
facility. They must meet specified security, technology and functionality standards for managing
electronic medical records and practice management information. Clinic Information
management system, is created to computerize manual operations in clinics. The primary
purpose is to digitize patient records so as to make data retrieval easy and efficient. Being in the
digital form, patient data can be conveniently shared and accessed by multiple simultaneous
users at different locations, resulting in clinical operations and collaboration among clinicians.
Product Characteristics and Requirements:
1. Security: The system should be secured from unauthorized user.
2. Modifiability: The system should be modifiability to modify different services depending
on the need of the institute.
3. Flexibility: The system able to change to suit new condition or situation.
4. Efficiency: The system must do what it is supposed to do efficiently without the problem.
Summary of Project Deliverables
Project management-related deliverables: Business case, charter, team contract, scope
statement, WBS, schedule, cost baseline, status reports, final project presentation, final
project report, lessons-learned report, and any other documents required to manage the
project. Product-related deliverables: research reports, design documents, software code,
hardware, etc.
1. Survey: survey current consultants and clients to help determine desired content and
features for the website.
2. Test plan: The test plan will document how the website will be tested, who be tested,
who will do the testing, and how will be reported.

3. Promotion: a plan for promoting the website internally and externally will describe
various approaches for soliciting input during design.

 4. Project benefit measurement plan: A project benefit plan will measure value of the
website.

Project Success Criteria:

The project would be deemed successful if all the key deliverables are achieved within the
proposed time schedule and approved budget for the project. The final product should be a clean,
clear and accurate website with integrated controls for connection to the database.
