How to configure the settings for measurement of liquid

Via configuration &display panel

1 Purpose
In some application, the measuring range is small and change of level is tiny
and continuous, so some settings need to be configured by the configuration
&display panel in addition to transmitter.

2 Brief instruction of the panel

There are four keys on front of the panel, which can be used to
adjust parameters, user can clearly observe the measuring reading
through the inspection window.

—Interrupt input
—Return to the previous menu
—Switch between reading and waveform of echo during running

—Change value of the parameter
—Change character when editing word
—Choose displaying mode

—Select menu items
—Select editing position(Cycle moving cursor to right)

【OK】key
—Access to programming mode
—Confirm selected menu
—Save changed value
3 Configuring settings for measurement of liquid

3.1 Switch item “Language” from “Chinese “ to” English”

If user found the menu item is shown in “Chinese “, can switch it to “English”
following the procedure below .

(1) Press the button ”OK” to access the main menu, it will show the followings

There are two items ,” 快速启动”and “扩展的调试”.

(2) Switch the current cursor to the second item by pressing the button
and access it by pressing button “OK” ,it will show the page below

(3) Switch the cursor to the item “附加设定”” and access it .

(4) Switch the cursor to the item “英语” and press “OK” to choose it, the menu
items will be shown in English

Then press button “BK” for times until the measurement screen will be shown.
3.2 Accessing the item “Diagnosis”

(1) Press the button ”OK” to access the main menu under the measurement
screen, it will show the followings diagram

Switch the current cursor to the second item by pressing the button
and access it by pressing button “OK” . it will show the page below

3 .3 Configuring some settings in item “Diagnosis”

This item can help user test and check status of the meter, press ”OK” to
access it .

Generally, the followings need to be configured.

(1) Set dead zone

If there are some constant object between sensor and surface of water, and
the highest level of water never reach it, user can set the item to avoid
measurement errors.

(2) Noise curve

(3) Chirps
This item is used for improving the SNR (signal to Noise ratio), user can
change the setting to high value when finding the signal is weak , the
maximum setting value is 40.
For measurement of liquid , its range is set 6-10

(4) First peak

(6) Set power

This item is used for setting of transmitting power and receiving power.

Press “OK” to save the modified value after entering proper values .

(7) Set precision

This item is mainly for the option when the measurement needs to be accurate
to the millimeter level. precision 1 and 2 have different algorithms ,generally
precision 1 is default.
