Materials needed:
1. YarnArt Jeans, 55% cotton, 45% acryl, 50g/160m:
Gnome (15 cm/ 6 inch)
• for body – yellow № 88
• for hat – white № 01, pink № 20
• for nose – beige № 07
• for beard – any semi wool yarn any thickness.
• for heart - berry № 51
Heart (12 cm/ 5 inch)
• for heart – pink № 20 or № 74
• for leaves – green № 11
• for pot – beige № 07, brown № 40
Bird (7 cm/ 3 inch)
• for body – white № 01, light pink № 74
• for wings – pink № 20
• for nose and tail – yellow № 88
2. Crochet hook 2 mm or 2.25 mm (US: B, UK:14)
3. Fiberfill, thick sewing needle, pins, stick for heart.
4. Piece of cardboard 4 on 4 inch for one gnome’s base.
5. 5mm black plastic beads for Heart and Bird.
Abbreviations:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
trc – treble crochet
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase, 2 sc in the next sc
dec – decrease, single crochet 2 stitches together
dc dec – crochet 2 dc together (dc2tog)
(16) – number of stitches in a round
(inc, sc)*N – repeat N times
BLO – back loop only
3dcCL - a cluster of 3 dc, made into the same stitch or
chain space that are joined together at the top.
rev sc – reverse single crochet
Gnome.
1.Body
With yellow yarn.
Start with making a round base. Work in
continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in the MR
Rnd 2: 7 inc (14)
Rnd 3: (inc, sc)*7 (21)
Rnd 4: (inc, 2 sc)*7 (28)
Rnd 5: (inc, 3 sc)*7 (35)

Сut off the base of cardboard.
Rnd 8: BLO 49 sc
Rnd 9-18: sc in each stitch around 10
rounds.

Stuff the body evenly and firmly with
the fiberfill.

Cut off the yarn, leave a long end.
Close the top using a needle, hide the
end into the body.
2.Hat
Start with pink yarn.
Work in continuous rounds without slip stitches.

Connect the white yarn (don’t cut off the pink one):

Cut off the yarn.
3.Decorative heart for hat

With berry yarn.
Make the Magic Ring, then in MR: 3 ch, 2 trc, 4 dc, 1
trc, 4 dc, 2 trc, 3 ch, 1 sl st.
Cut off the yarn, tighten the loop, sew to the hat.
4.Arms.
Start with the white yarn.
Rnd 2: (inc, 2 sc)*2 (8)
Rnd 3: 8 sc
Rnd 4: 4 sc, 3dcCL, 3 sc (8) (3dcCL - a cluster of 3 dc)
Rnd 5: 8 sc
Connect the pink yarn:
Rnd 6: BLO 8 sc
Connect the yellow yarn:
Rnd 7-12: sc in each stitch around 6 rounds.
Stuff the bottom part of the arm (hand) with fiberfill.
Fold so that the stitches of the last round line each
other, crochet the opposite stitches with 3-4 sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long end for sewing.

5.Nose.
With beige yarn.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in the MR, go on in
continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 2: 7 inc (14)
Rnd 3: (inc, 1 sc)*7 (21)
Rnd 4: 21 sc
Rnd 5: (dec, 1 sc)*7 (14)
Rnd 6: 7 dec (7)
Add some fiberfill.
Close the top using a needle.
6.Assembly and decoration.

For pigtails cut the semi-wool yarn, tie a piece of yarn
to the free 5 loops of 23 round, repeat for second
pigtail. Distance between the pigtails 3 free loops.
Attach the arms and nose to the body with some pins between
23 and 24 rounds of the body (to the free loops of 23th
round).
Put on the hat. The top of arms and nose should be placed
under the hat. Move them the way you like.
Take off the hat, sew the arms and nose to the body.
Put on the hat and attach it with hidden stitches.
Heart in Pot.
1.Pot
With beige yarn.
Start with making a round base. Work in continuous rounds
without slip stitches.
Rnd 2: 7 inc (14)
Rnd 3: (inc, sc)*7 (21)
Rnd 4: (inc, 2 sc)*7 (28)
Rnd 5: (inc, 3 sc)*7 (35)
Сut off the base of cardboard.
Rnd 6: BLO 35 sc

Insert the cardboard base.
Don’t cut off the beige yarn, leave it
in front side.
Connect the brown yarn:

Stuff evenly and firmly with the
fiberfill.
Crochet 1 round ds from free loops of 13 round with beige
yarn: 2 ch, 36 dc, 1 slst.
Cut off the yarn, hide the end.
2. Heart
With pink yarn.
Part 1:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in Magic Ring (6), go on in continuous rounds
without sl st.
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (inc, 1 sc)*6 (18)
Rnd 4: 17 sc, 1 sl st (18)
Cut off the yarn.
Part 2:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in Magic Ring (6), go on
in continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (inc, 1 sc)*6 (18)
Rnd 4: 17 sc, 1 sl st (18)
Don’t cut off the yarn.

Rnd 5: join the parts with sl st. Place
a marker to mark the beginning of a new
round. Crochet 36 sc (18 sc on the part
1 and 18 sc on the part 2) (36)
Rnd 6: 36 sc
Rnd 7: (7 sc, dec)*4 (32)
Rnd 8: 32 sc
Rnd 9: (dec, 6)*4 (28)
Rnd 10: 28 sc

Set eyes between 8 and 9 rounds.
Distance between eyes
5-6 sc.
Stuff the heart evenly and firmly with
the fiberfill.

Connect the green yarn (cut off the pink
one):
Rnd 17-26: sc in each stitch around 10 rounds.
Cut off the yarn.
Insert stick. Connect with pot.
Sew the details with brown yarn and hide the end into the
pot.
3. Leaves.
With green yarn. Crochet 2 leaves.
Chain 12, start with the 2nd loop from the hook.
1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 tr, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, in last
stitch:(sl st, ch 1, 1 sl st),
work along the other side of the foundation chain: 1 sc,
2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 1 dc, 1 hds, 1 sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long end, sew to the stick.
Embroider the eyes with white yarn as shown on the photo.
Bird.
1. Body
Start with white yarn.
Work in continuous rounds without slip stitches.
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (inc, 1 sc)*6 (18)
Rnd 4: (inc, 2 sc)*6 (24)
Rnd 5: (inc, 3 sc)*6 (30)

Set eyes between 8 and 9 rounds. Distance between eyes
5 sc.
Connect the light-pink yarn:

Stuff the bird evenly and firmly with
the fiberfill.

Close the top using a needle, hide the end into the body.
2. Wings
With pink yarn. Crochet 2 wings.
Chain 9, start with the 2nd loop from the
hook.
1 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, in last
stitch:(sl st, ch 1, 1 sl st),
work along the other side of the
foundation chain: 1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc,
1 hds, 1 sc.
3. Tail
Long part with pink yarn:
Chain 8, start with the 2nd loop from the hook.
2 sc, 2 hdc, 1 dc, 2 hdc in next stitch (inc dc), 4 dc in
last stitch,
work along the other side of the foundation chain: 2 hdc
in next stitch (inc dc), 1 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long end, sew to the body.
Short part with yellow yarn:

Chain 6, start with the 2nd loop from the
hook.
1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 hdc in next stitch
(inc dc), 4 dc in last stitch,
work along the other side of the
foundation chain: 2 hdc in next stitch (inc dc), 1 dc, 1
hdc, 1 sc.
4. Beak
With yellow yarn.
Rnd 2: (inc, 1 sc)*2 (6)
5.Assembly and decoration.
Sew the wings, beak and tail as shown on the photos.
Embroider the breast with yellow yarn.
