Reflection paper on the alignment of your course to the Vision, Mission and 10 Pillars Reform
Agenda of PUP and the PUP shared Values and Principles

Polytechnic University of the Philippines is one of the best university schools here in the

Philippines. Why they are one of the best schools here in the Philippines? The PUP has vision

and mission that they pursuing to give equality and quality education for the students. PUP is

very determined that this institution will become National Polytechnic University. As a student

of PUP, I am very determined to give all what I can for my university. If we achieve this, it will

bring more for the university and for us. The academic program and the organizational programs

will be improved and strengthen. With this vision, I was very grateful that I am part of this

university. PUP’s mission is to maintain its catalytic role for the national development, by means

of ensuring an inclusive and equitable quality education and promote a life-long learning

experience through an efficient and re-engineered polytechnic education.

PUP vision and mission was great. With this concept of mind, I can assure with myself

that the university provide a quality education. This quality education will enhance our skills and

expand more our knowledge. I am Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering student in the

PUP. With their quality of education, I learned a lot from my professors because they have

quality teaching method and skills. I assured that the performance of the educational institutional

is very enough to fulfill what you need to know, experience and to have skills.

The 10 Pillars Reform Agenda will be very helpful for all the students and the university.

With these pillars reform agenda for the university, all the students, professors, and university

will benefit with these agendas. The campus development for the faculties and students is very
useful and have advantage with us engineering students. This will help us to explore more and

experience more in each field of engineering. As mechanical engineering student, I truly grateful

if this happen because I can gain experiences and enhancing the skills. In developing an

intellectually challenging curriculum, it is very good agenda because it will enhance critical

thinking skills and the skills which will be our foundation to become a successful mechanical

engineer.

The PUP Shared Values and Principles which are integrity and accountability,

nationalism, spirituality, passion for learning and innovation, inclusivity, respect for human

rights and the environment, excellence, and democracy. These are the values and principle that

we should apply with ourselves as we entered in the PUP. All the students and faculty members

should have this kind of values and principles because we are part of this university. Being of the

student of BS in Mechanical Engineer, I will give all my best to imply it to myself. The vision,

mission and the 10 pillars reform agenda of the school is not just for me but all the members or

part of the PUP. So, let unite to have a successful, great, and quality education for all of us.
