Let us look at our project timeline – which briefly includes our work till now and our future plans

We started with identifying the issue of prolonged waiting times and came up with the idea of
creating a platform where people can easily locate clinics and make appointments in the available
slots. Then, we identified clinics and young professionals from Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities as our initial
set of target customers. We started with some hypotheses and after conducting customer
interviews, we had to pivot, rethink about certain assumptions that we made

and change our lean canvas according to that. Post that, we developed an application with all the
features that the customers wanted. Right now, we are in the process of testing our MVP by
collecting feedback from our potential customers. In the future, we would like to increase our
visibility and focus on business expansion, while improving our customer experience through
continuous feedback and by introducing new features.

These are some of the hypotheses that we started with

Initially we wanted to test the willingness of customers to use our app.

We started with the hypothesis that at least 75% would be willing to use Medimap.

From interviews, it was found that 90% of the customers are still booking appointments through
phone calls or through direct visits.

Also it is very difficult to get contact information of all the clinics online. Although some clinics have
online appointment system through their website, there is very little awareness among the patients
which is stopping them from booking online appointments.

Since our application brings this fragmented information into a single platform, all the interviewees
were willing to use the app.

Next, we reached out to clinics to test their willingness. Although clinics from Tier-1 cities have
shown interest, Clinics from tier-2 cities were not sure. They have never used any softwares before
and thought this would complicate their system.

So, we narrowed down our target customers to tier-1 cities. Also, the clinics were not ready to
provide manpower for sample collection at patients home. Here, we realized that we had to
onboard a third party logistics service till we could start our in-house logistics.

we wanted to find out the customers’ willingness to switch to new clinics.

More than 30% of the patients were used to visiting the same clinic and had trust issues for visiting a
newer clinic.

To tackle this, we have to onboard only state govt certified clinics and must stress this during
promotions to gain customer’s trust. Also, customer reviews will act as a word of mouth and
increase credibility.

After taking numerous interviews and changing our assumptions, This is the final version of our lean
canvas.

As we can see, we are currently targeting young and middle aged working professionals from Tier-1
cities.
We will be promoting our application through social media campaigns, online marketing like google
ads and promotions at clinics.

We currently have 3 streams of revenue-

Transaction charges or commissions from clinics for each appointment made through the
application.

Commission from clinics for banner promotions to increase their visibility.

For sample collection at customers’ home, we collect delivery charges from clinics and convenience
fee from customers.

Teja will explain in detail about MVP and the way forward.
