Research Design

The Research Design of the Virtual Canteen’s

The researchers used the quantitative method or to be more specific, descriptive

or survey research. Because it is the best possible way for the researchers to interact

with their users base on their experience on our website and take their feedbacks as a

inspiration for our research to become more viable during these times of pandemic.

Settings of the Study

Binangonan Catholic College is a private and religious school in the municipality

in the province of Binangonan, Rizal. It is a religious, scholastic or behavioral academic

place, with enough facility/rooms to operate and study, you will have great experiences

and memories in this school. Though many of them were outdated, we mainly focus on

a specific facility that we always use on our dailies, the canteen, strongly because its

one of the main facility needed in a school. And it’s simply the source of our food that

we consume during break and because of this pandemic. We are sensitive on what we

consume on our daily lives, whether it is safe or not. While we are still pandemic, it is a

good opportunity to update our outdated canteen operation for better management of

the staff and the students also. We’ve come up with a solution that can separate us

from one another, less contact, more efficient, guaranteed safety.


Subject of the Study

The subject of the study will be the selected Grade 12 students of Binangonan

Catholic College Senior High school Department. There will be exactly 15 students that

will try/test the application/website and will act as live feedback in the academic year

2021 - 2022

After the students signed in on the website, they will have a list of today’s menu,

basically all the food that will be available during recess and launch. Once they choose

their order, a list of blank of information like < Room Name >, < Section >, < Recess or

Launch Time >. It will be presented and will be needed to be fill these questions in order

for the canteen staff to be able to receive the information from the students and deliver

the food based on what was on the information.

Instrumentation

After opening the survey, the students will have to put their basic information, for

example their name, section, strand, and level. Moving to the second part of the

questionnaire the students will be presented through the UI of the app/website,

answering each questions if the UI is working correctly. And for the buttons functionality,

it will determine the functionality of the hyperlinks inside the app/website. Effectiveness

and Efficiency of the app/website, in this part of the survey, the students will check the

process of the app/website if everything works correctly, checking their orders if it’s

accurate or precise and amount of work that they did to order the product
Validation of the instrument.

Upon finishing, this research will perform series of consultation/validation

and will be conducted by the help of experts.
