1. What is Handicraft?
Nowadays, Handicraft is always present and highly recognized by many people. Handicraft
can be define in many different ways. Basically handicraft is a skills or ability of an individual in
producing a product using hand. It can be made of up any recycled or raw materials of both
indigenous or any other materials. There were a lot of kind of handicrafts that hs been produced by
human which give a greatest contribution not just to the economy.of the country but also to the life of
the people.

2. Discuss the importance of Handicraft integration to the BTLed Home Economics curriculum.
The intergration of Handicraft to the BTLed Home Economics is very important as it helps
the student to boost up their skills and ability through creating or making products by hand. It is also a
greatest upportuniy to the learners who wants to continue to develop their hidden skills or talent in
this kind of field. Like me as a student I am very thankful that there is a handicraft is in this BTled
Curriculum as it helps me to do what really I want. Literally I love doing things by hand because it is
very fun to do and enjoyable. Aside from that there were a lotnof learnings that you will gain.

3. As a future teacher, how can handicraft be of relevance to the real life situation of your future
learners?
As a future teacher it is necessary that we master or have knowledge about handicraft. As I
know that this handicraft also important to my learner as it helps them to enhance their skills and
ability particularly in creating handicraft. It also gives an opportunity to the learners to discover,
develop and create their own ideas. Which they can be able used and apply in their daily living. As
well as it can be a side line or a source of income being a learner.

4. Enumerate the three most important outputs that you learned from the subject and briefly discuss
each.
For me the three outputs are cross-stitching, table skirting and beadwork. I like cross stitching
very much although it is very time consuming but worth it. Also table skirting which I can be apply
when we have certain occasions and we don’t need to pay other people to do it for us. And lastly the
beadwork, this beadwork wasn’t that easy as this is my first time doing this. I found it was fun as I
can able to do it in my own.
5. If you are to add another new output to be included in the Handicraft subject, what would it be and
why?
This handicraft is made up of any recycled paper, glue and water also and any finishing design
like glitters or barnish. This handicraft were just simple to do as you just simply wet the paper and
then put it with glue and mix well. After that you can able to form any desires design of vase and
make ot dry and if it is dry already finish it with transparent barnish or put some glitters. This
handicraft is very nice and also less expensive because of the materials that was used were basic.
The learners also can be able to explore and enjoy as they have another craft to be done which is not
costly but worth.
