Manolo Origenes has dreamed of becoming a policeman since childhood. He was inspired by his two uncles who are also policemen. Last year, he failed to pass the application to become a patrolman but has reapplied this year, determined to achieve his goal. He believes that with hard work, support from his family and girlfriend, and guidance from God, he can overcome any challenges and fulfill his dream of serving as a member of the Philippine National Police.

Ever since I was a child, I have always dreamed of
becoming a policeman. I often ask my mother to buy me toy guns and pose for pictures like I am already a policeman. Also, two of my uncles are also policemen who inspired me. I believe that becoming a policeman is a noble profession. It is my goal to be one of the Philippine National Police to serve and protect. Last year, I was heartbroken when I applied to be a patrolman and was not able to pass. But because I am really focused and determined to be a policeman, I applied again this year. I believe that there is nothing can stop me from reaching my dreams. I am a hard-working person. If ever I will pass to be part of the Philippine National Police, I will make sure that I will make the organization proud. I will do my best to perform well and improve myself. I know that I can be a policeman because my family is always supportive of me. My family has always been there to comfort and cheer me in all the stages of the recruitment process. I also have a supportive girlfriend who makes me smile everyday and who makes sure that I do not forget to eat on time. My family is really my inspiration on why I persevere to achieve my goals. In all the challenges that I have encountered, I also make sure to ask for guidance from God. I have prayed always that God would grant me the strength to help me overcome any obstacles. I am sure that when the time is right, he will grant all of my prayers. All the things that I pray for are not only for myself but always for my family. I offer to them all my sacrifices and hardships. I hope that this will be the year that I already become a real policeman.
