Edema is a swelling of the lower limbs that is accumulated by excessive fluid and occurs due to
uterine compression that blocks venous outflow. Treatments that can be applied to reduce the degree of
edema are:Foot Massage and Warm Water Soak. The purpose of this study was to analyze the
effectiveness of Foot Message and Warm Water Soak on edema of pregnant women in Sumberan
village. This type of research is experimental research with a design qusy-experimental.The
population is 49 people with 36 respondents who meet the research inclusion requirements, selected
through technical purposive sampling. The instrument used is an observation sheet for the value of the
degree of edema and then the data is collected through a process of Editing,Coding, Scoring and
tabulating. The data obtained were analyzed using hypothesis testing Wilcoxonand Mann Whitney
in group Foot Massage and soak in warm waterThe results of the study obtained V 0.000 in the
group Foot Massage and the value of V0.001 Soak in warm water. After the Mann Whitney test was
performed, the value of V0.000 was obtained.Significant level of V<0.05, it was stated that both
therapies were effective in reducing the degree of edema. The conclusion of this research isFoot Massage
more effective in reducing the degree of edema because it has a smaller V value than a warm water
bath.Foot Massage works by widening blood vessels, so that fluid circulation can flow throughout the
body. Expected Foot massage can be a priority therapy in reducing the degree of edema.
