to effect young people in
many ways such as lack of
their self-esteem leading
onto depression, anxiety
and can cause lack of
sleep. It is proven that
90% of young people aged
between 14-24 have at
least one social media
platform, and some say
these social media
platforms can be more
addictive than drugs and
alcohol.
Some young people may
find themselves on these

can be harder to get away
from it. As well as it
being draining it can
also cause and form
unhealthy habits such as
comparing yourself to
other people’s lives and
body images.
Being on social media
means you are always
connected online which
can lead to the feeling
of needing to always be
in touch with others

cause loneliness and
anxiety our reporter
