The concept of Correction and Rehabilitation within the Scope of Criminal Justice
encapsulates the actions carried out by government entities relating to the punishment,
treatment, and supervision of individuals convicted of crimes. I chose the topic since
Rehabilitation and Correction systems are an integral part of transforming society. Equally,
my topic of choice was propelled by the urge to address the lacunas that lie within
My reaction to the topic in its entirety is that first, there lies a crucial need to
strengthen and empower corrective and rehabilitative institutions globally through adequate
resource allocation and recruitment trained prison workforce. Secondly, the need to address
the challenges of reintegration of radicalized convicted persons can not be ignored. Terrorism

must acknowledge the importance of social organizations in law enforcement on Inmate re-

affirming the significance of social organizations in Law Enforcement for enhancing inmate

Secondly, under the Social Contract Theory, Rousseau and Locke assert that the
Government has a responsibility to ensure that justice is seen to be done and must in all
circumstances uphold the freedom and liberty of its Citizens(Laskar,2017). The theory

The main thing that I grasped from the overall reading is the importance of
