Summary

This is based on the parable that we can found in Matthew 12:51-52 as it says, “Therefore every scribe
who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a house, who brings out of his
treasure what is new and what is old” This chapter talks about old and new treasures that has taken out.
The old and new treasure indicates the new and old testament that was given by God. The reason why
the treasure is taken out is that. When someone really has the word of God in him, he will share and
proclaim to the other. The word of god is really precious like a treasure, if anyone has it wholeheartedly,
he cannot keep the mercy and good news by himself. So, he took out and share to the world however he
could.

Reaction

When man has a precious treasure, we hide it from other and we keep it safe for our own benefit.
Because we are greed in nature and we want possession, money and many more for our own. Because
of wealth there is corruption. That is how wealth of the world is. But, the treasure from God is opposite
from the treasure of the world. As we read it, the happiness and gladness of the word of God and His
mercy overflow, we could not hold it only for us that we want to take it out from our heart and share it
to our neighbor, friends, and others.

Reflection

Jesus is telling his disciples that those who study and know the word of God are rich with knowledge and
understanding of God's kingdom. This understanding is important and essential for salvation. So when
we have the treasure of God we are also blessed in knowing of the treasure of the world for the glory of
God.

Personal Application and Recommendation

My talent, my blessing and my nursing is for the Glory of God. Why I chose NLAC because it is Seventh-
Day church that I belong, I have a good chance to go to Higher College and University but I choose the
church that I belong so that I can keep the Sabbath and worship God. One day I will become a good
heath care worker and after a missionary doctor. I will take out my treasure and share it to other. I
recommend others to do as well, to use our talent for the glory of God.
