A. In your own understanding, elaborate the definition/description of SPSS.

- SPSS is software that allows statistical analysis of a program for social science. This software makes it
easy to make a chart, and analyze the number into percentage and many more. There are three ways
that SPSS allows to analyze such as, Describing Data, Examine relationship and compare groups . There
are two main windows in the SPSS, The data editor and the Output Viewer.

B. What significance does SPSS contribute to the nursing profession?

- SPSS help nursing profession, not only nursing all healthcare organizations worldwide support medical
research, improve disease management, monitor the quality of patient care, improve operational
efficiency, maintain accreditation, combat healthcare fraud and protect public health.

C. What is your opinion regarding the use of SPSS in research?

- Since I don’t have this software, I need to find this software itself and start practicing it now not just
watching and reading about it. And I see this is going to be really helpful.

D. You cannot escape the fact that you need to know how to use this software in the future for your
nursing research subject and thesis. What is your feeling towards this inevitable circumstance?

- To my opinion, using this I see that this will be very helpful in my research but my problem is that, this
is my first time that I heard about SPSS form this question, which means I will take time to
professionalize this software and is challenging to me.

E. What suggestions can you share regarding the update development of the SPSS software?

- I suggest that IBM Compute company should make this software more modernize the effects, the
colors, and the styles.
