Introduction/Overview.
 This module will provide Comprehensive knowledge with Operational Plan (Policies and
Rules, Hours of Operation, Product Line-up, Service offerings, Pricing Strategies, Production,
Delivery of Services)

At the end of the topic Module the students will be able to:
1. Understand the Operational Plan
2. Identify and Articulate the Policies and Rules and Hours of Operation.
3. Appreciate Product Line-up, Service offerings
4. Enumerate and Appreciate Pricing Strategies
5. Understand the Production and Delivery of Services
 Operational Plan
 An Operational Plan is a highly detailed plan that provides a clear picture of how a
team, section or department will contribute to the achievement of the
organisation's goals. The operational plan maps out the day-to-day tasks required to
run a business and cover.
 The ROLE operational plan outlines the activities and targets which the organisation
will carry out in order to work towards achieving the aims and objectives set out in
the strategic plan. It provides the framework for an organisation's day-to-
day operations.

 Policies and Rules


 A policy is a guiding principle used to explain the "way things are done around
here". A rule is a statement about what to do, or not to do, in a specific situation. A
procedure is a series of steps to be followed to accomplish an end result.

 Hours of Operation
 Sample 8 hours a day, 12 hours, or 24/7. Most of the lodging businesses are open or
operational 24/7- 365 days.
CONTENT

 Product Line-up
 A product line is a group of related products all marketed under a single brand
name that is sold by the same company. 

 Service offerings
 A service offering defines a level of service for a price: it combines
the service (utility) and a service level target (warranty) to bring value to the
customer.

 Pricing Strategies
 A pricing strategy is a model or method used to establish the best price for a
product or service. It helps you choose prices to maximize profits and shareholder
value while considering consumer and market demand. If only pricing was a simple
as its definition. However, there's a lot that goes into the process.

 Production
 This is the action of making or manufacturing from components or raw materials, or
the process of being so manufactured.

 Delivery of Services
 This is how the service provider/ product provider will deliver the service/s.
