A PARTY WHERE YOU DON´T KNOW ANYONE

1. Calm your anxiety before going to a party. If you feel nervous walking into a party when you don't know anyone there, it's a good
idea to calm down before trying to meet someone. Take a deep breath, take a deep breath, and slowly exhale through your nose. Repeat
this slow, deep breath several times. Make sure your feet are firmly against the floor so that you stand on your feet.

2. Smile frequently at the other party guests. Showing our smile will make us look much more confident in front of other guests,
even if we are terrified or very nervous. It will also help us increase our social skills and also be more likely to meet new people and
make new friends. Finally, smiling will help improve our mood, speak confidently and eloquently; and reduce stress or other problems.

3. Think about the purpose of the party. Social interactions will vary depending on the reason for the meeting. Remember that other
people may not know each other either. Considering the nature of the party, try to assess the probability that many people will be there
for the first time.

4. Find out about the party. It will help you get comfortable in determining the physical layout of the party if it is unfamiliar to you.
As a way to get comfortable at the party, find out where the bathroom is, where the food is, and where the drinks are. It will also help
you take stock of how many people there are and the type of party.

5. Look at the other guests at the party. You can model your physical behavior based on what others do. For example, if people are
dancing, see if they dance alone or if they dance in pairs. Try to position yourself in a part of the place where you will probably feel
most comfortable.

6. Think about what you most likely have in common. If you focus on what you have in common, you will likely start to feel more
confident. One of the reasons strangers often talk about the weather is because it is a common theme.
