Directions: Using a mirror, reflect on how well you know yourself and how others
perceived you.

People will form a perception of you just by looking at your facial expression, the
way you stand or even by the way you shake their hand. Some people like to be the center of
attention and to talk, others prefer to watch from the side lines and to listen. When we
perceive something, we become aware of or notice it. Or we can use our mind
to perceive things, which means that we are able to recognize or understand them. We can
also perceive a person or thing as having certain qualities others perceive me as a good student
and hadworking woman while I perceive myself as a low esteem woman with lack of
confidence. If you spend your time hoping someone will suffer the consequences for what
they did to your heart, then you're allowing them to hurt you a second time in your mind.
There will always be someone willing to hurt you, put you down, gossip about you, belittle
your accomplishments and judge your soul. It is a fact that we all must face. However, if you
realize that God is a best friend that stands beside you when others cast stones you will never
be afraid, never feel worthless and never feel alone.
