ABOUT THE AUTHOR(s)

SUSHILA RAMASWAMY   is an Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Jesus and Mary
College, Delhi University. Having an academic experience of more than two decades, Dr. Ramaswamy
has received the Fullbright Postdoctoral fellowship
fellowship and a teaching fellow at the National University of 
Singapore. She received the University Grants Commission’s Research Award for three years from
2004?–2007. She has co-authored a book  A History of Political Thought: From Plato to Marx   for PHI
Learning.
