Love – Love to the Family is the most important unit in the Filipino’s life.

Taking care of each other is one


of the actions of Filipino to show love. Most young Filipinos who turn 18 years old are not expected to
move out of their parent's homes, unlike western countries. Also, when Filipino parents are old and
can’t take care of themselves, they tend to live in the children’s home and take care of them.

Hedonism - Filipinos are starting to practice these beliefs. Since online shopping is most convenient
nowadays because of the pandemic. Filipinos bought an item on the online market to satisfy them
especially when the item is arriving, even the item has nothing to do with them. It tends to be impulsive
buying.

Equal Rights -

Religious – The Philippines have approximately 85% Christian in its population. Due to the majority of
Catholics, the Philippines has numerous Church Holidays, such as Holy Week and Christmas. Since the
Philippines was known for being a catholic country, most of the laws such as divorce, abortion, and
same-sex marriage are discourse by the Catholic church.

Social Progress – Filipinos can ride on or adjust to the norms of another group to attain a smooth and
harmonious relationship. For example, the Overseas Filipino Workers are easily adapting and adjusting
abroad since they can do any work in any field to provide for their family in the Philippines.

Right Conduct – Filipinos can express right conduct in different ways. It can either express in speaking by
saying “po” and “opo”, it can also express in hand gestures such as pagmamano to the elders. Filipinos
also called their older siblings as “ate” or “kuya”, the “ate” and “kuya” also used to be called older than
them.

Filipino time - Filipino time means being minutes to hours late compared to the standard time. It is the
most common value of Filipino when they have to attend a meeting Filipinos usually come late. Even
though this is sort of normal, Filipinos must still be responsible and attend before or on time to respect
others.
