What is a Portfolio?

A Portfolio is a collection of work that reflects your


progress, achievements, strengths and interests.
What is the purpose of a Portfolio Interview?

● Interview preparation and practice


● Showcase your work and progress
● Discuss your achievements with your interviewing teacher
● Feel a sense of achievement upon completion
What may be included in a Portfolio?

Evidence of Work: Poems, essays, projects, speeches, reviews,


Enterprise projects, community work, podcasts, video of acting, dancing
etc, Maths exams, workshop reflections, report on activities within class,
etc.
You may include photographs where appropriate.

Each piece you select must be accompanied by a log report.

Portfolio Requirements
Twelve pieces of work each supported by a log report and a Reflection are to be presented.

2-Subject Sampling- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics, Business, Accounting,
Home Economics, Music, Art, DCG, Construction, Applied Maths, History, Geography

5-TY Specific- Work Experience, Career Investigation, Gender Studies, Mindfulness, Green Schools, Communications, Sign
Language, Crime Scene Investigation, Safe Driving, Media Studies, Film & TV Production, Equine Studies, Drama, Enterprise,
Programming, European Studies, Life Skills, Computers, Leadership, Tourism, Digital Literacy, Public Speaking, Local History,
Rotary Young Adult, Health & Safety, Young St. Vincent de Paul, Bee Keeping, Political Education, Holiday Spanish, Social Studies,

Prior to attending your Portfolio Interview
Check your interviews details on the notice in your base classroom

On the day of your Portfolio Interview
As teachers will be interviewing students when they would normally be
teaching classes, you must attend school for your interview only. Please
arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled interview start time.

You may either wear full uniform or business attire.

Follow current Health and Safety guidelines.
