How will you use all the principles in this course to be a change agent in the society?

A change agent dares to dream big and dare walk to the narrow path which few people trod.

How is it being applied?

The school serves as a change agent of the students through their teachers. The teachers
are agents of change whose mission is to change students to become equipped in every area of
life and also to help them know what their life purpose is. So teachers supposed to be are models
of being always ready and to have decisiveness in the direction of their life.

How can I apply it now?

I should live a life of good testimony to others, so that I will be respected, and in turn;
people will respond to the model that I am exemplifying for there is no good to act as an agent of
change if my life shows the opposite of what I say. A topsy-turvy life won’t speak of discipline
and decisiveness.

I should have the intrinsic motivation for studying if I want my future students to follow
my example. How can I be an example if I myself don’t have a good attitude towards learning? I
should develop in me good character and good values so that my future students would see these
in me. In this way, I don’t have to be “plastic” by telling them to have good character but I
myself don’t have it.

I should work towards excellence in everything that I do. Being a mediocre in the
increasingly sophisticated society won’t do any good to me.

I should start gathering information about different student culture to prepare for the
students that I’ll be meeting someday.
How can I apply it in the future?

Students come from different backgrounds. Some come from happy families, some from
broken families, some from rich families, and some from poor families. Others are abused while
some are maltreated. In the future, I would always try my best to understand them and care for
them, because I might be the only one who could show love to them. Through the love that I
give, they would realize how wonderful life is. And with that, they would be motivated to see life
in a different lens; they would see that there is love and hope for them. Then, they would do their
best and aim high. And this starts their being receptive of me, receptive of the lessons, the
values, the training, and everything. And of course, I won’t forget the gospel message, which
will change their lives.

I hope that I will be an effective change agent who will lead them and show them the path
that leads to life. I hope that my future students will be equipped for life’s never ending change
and challenges. We should always be thankful that we have an unchanging God who will always
love us. With God, we should not be afraid of change, but rather we should be creative and
innovative in ways that are in line with His agenda.
