1. Write a reflection paper citing the importance of guidance in today's academe?

Guidance & Counseling is a good thing for a school and students. It is important and I really
admire how they manage those students who struggling in school. Guidance means helping
individuals to not just solve problems but to help them achieve their goals in life and to change
them to a better person. They encourage students to do all good things for their future.
In this world, Guidance is really important in our community because without any guidance there
no development, no growth and no future for those who declined guidance. It may difficult to
reach our goals because we don’t have anyone to rely on. Example you struggling in school and
no one who listen and speak with you but we have guidance counselor to help you and make you
better and avoid you in any circumstances. They are professional in this field and you can trust
them to your personal issues or any problems that makes you struggle in school. In school, we
must appreciate the guidance that they offer to us because it is for us, for our future and we have
to accept the fact that they are here for us in any circumstances. Counselor says that they can’t
promise to fix all our problems but they can promise that we won’t have to face them alone.
We need to trust them because I believe in them and we must all believe in their skills in
addressing our problems or anything that bothers you in school. Guidance in today’s academe is
a must because our situation must need attention and guidance for the sake of our future.

2. How can teachers in the classroom help in facilitating the work in guidance?
Teachers called our second parents when we are in school. The guidance from them is important
for us students. But How they help in facilitating the work of guidance. First they need to know
the background of each students that they handle. They need to know their strength and
weaknesses to easily know if the students is not okay then they can address the problems
immediately. Second, teachers need to show their students the support and care so that they feel
belong to the group or inside the classroom. Third, they need to be transparent and ready to help
their students so that they can handle students properly. In those 3 steps we can help as a future
teacher in facilitating the work in guidance because we effectively do our role in guiding the
students in every situation. Addition to that teachers do creative way to make students better in
the future. The word guidance is their main point of teaching.
3. What realizations have you found in reading this module
This module make me realize the essence of guidance and the things can do by our dear
guidance counselor. They are a good example of our society. They help students to develop and
growth. They have different guidance services that appropriately respond to the needs of
students. If you can see their aim is to help every individual so we cannot neglect the opportunity
to grab their advice as a guidance counselor because they care about us. I admired them because
they can do solve problems in a way that they also change a person to a better one. Their
Guidance makes us utilize our potential to the fullest and plan our present and future with
accordance with our abilities, interests, and needs. I realize that we need guidance in achieving
our goals so that school guidance offer for us to help.
