Brief of view :

The film that was told in 1997 tells the story of a father named Lee Yong Goo (played by Ryoo
Seung Ryong) who has mental retardation who loves his daughter (Ye Sung) who is still 6 years
old. The conflict in this film comes when Yong Goo wants to buy Ye Sailor Moon's bag sung,
but apparently the bag was owned by the son of a Commissioner of Police. One day when Yong
Goo was resting, the daughter of the police commissioner approached him and intended to tell
him where to buy Sailor Moon's bag. Then Yong Goo followed the daughter of the police
commissioner and unfortunately the little girl slipped because of the slippery road. But when he
was going to do first aid, Yoong Goo was accused of sexual violence and murder to the daughter
of the Police Commissioner. Eventually Yoong Goo was arrested by police and sent to prison as
the main suspect for the death of the little girl. Ye Sung who lived alone was sent to a care
institution. Meanwhile, Yong Goo was included in cell no. 7 in a prison. He was forced to admit
his actions by being lured to meet his daughter. Inhabitants who were in cell no. 7 who initially
disliked Yong Goo gradually realized that people who suffer from mental retardation like Yong
Goo can't do such a thing and they become very sympathetic towards Yong Goo. They even help
Yong Goo to take his child into a holding cell. In various ways Ye Sung can enter the cell and
meet her father. Besides a cellmate, Yong Goo also received sympathy from the Chief Warden.
Even the Chief Warden later took care of Ye Sung to adulthood. In the end Yong Goo will face
trial for his case. One cellmates Young Goo teaches how to answer at trial so that he can be free
of false accusations over him. But in the end Yong Goo failed in the trial and he was still
sentenced to death. This was because before As the trial began, Yoon Goo was forced by the
Police Commissioner to admit that he killed his daughter by being threatened if Yong Goo did
not carry it out, Ye Sung would be killed. And finally Yong Goo was sentenced to death. After
Ye Sung grew up she appealed to the court to clean up his father's name from false accusations.
Although Yong Goo was gone, at the end of the story, his daughter was successfully cleansed
his name.

The end of the movie :

A few years later, Ye Sung grew into a beautiful girl and worked as a lawyer. With her expertise
as a lawyer, Ye Sung tried to clean up the good name of her deceased father who had been so
polluted.Finally a retrial was held and Ye Sung fought desperately with the help of the five
friends of her father's prison.The five friends of Yong Goo are no longer inmates and have
repented to be good people, even So Yang Ho is the pastor.With the help of five friends Yong
Goo, Ye Sung finally won in court and the judge ruled that Yong Goo was innocent. Eventually
Ye Sung can prove even though her deceased father is stupid but he is not a murderer and child
rapist.
