Demonstration Reflection
Complete a detailed description of your teaching and reflection of what went well and what
you would want to do differently if given the opportunity. You are allowed to use bullets to
itemize your thoughts but be thorough. Use these guiding questions:
1. How well do I communicate with my students (i.e., voice volume, clarity of speech,
etc.)?
2. Do I provide differentiated questions to meet the needs of all students?
3. Do I use wait time effectively?
4. How well do I tie in the learning objective with the tasks presented?
5. How well do I know the content material (i.e., fingerings, hand position and posture,
embouchure, air, etc.)?
6. How do I know students are learning the intended objectives (i.e., assessment, proof
of student understanding)?
