1. O little town of Bethlehem 2. For Christ is born of Mary 3. How silently, how silently
How still we see thee lie And gathered all above The wondrous gift is given
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep While mortals sleep, the angels keep So God imparts to human hearts
The silent stars go by Their watch of wondering love The blessings of His heaven
Yet in thy dark streets shineth O morning stars together No ear may hear His coming
The everlasting Light Proclaim the holy birth But in this world of sin
The hopes and fears of all the years And praises sing to God the King Where meek souls will receive him still
Are met in thee tonight And Peace to men on earth The dear Christ enters in

4. O holy Child of Bethlehem O come to us, abide with us

Descend to us, we pray Our Lord Emmanuel
Cast out our sin and enter in O come to us, abide with us
Be born to us today Our Lord Emmanuel
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
