JAPAN GOVERNMENT

This is a country that has a type of government that Voltaire thinks the best government.

The government of Japan is a constitutional monarchy where the monarch shares power with a
constitutionally organized government, and Japan adopted this government in 1947. It is a little
bit different now and in the back. The previous Constitution of Japan was based on the principle
of the Emperor’s Sovereignty, while the present Constitution of Japan is based on the principle of
Popular Sovereignty as the U.S Constitution. In Japan, The monarch may be the Head of State
and does not influence the activities of the government. Therefore, the prime minister is the Head
of the Government and the current is Abe Shinzo.
