One day, there was a hungry crocodile waiting a prey near the lake in the jungle.

That crocodile hiding under the surface of the lake for a long time, but there was not yet any prey
approaching that lake to drink.

That crocodile was so cruel and thus it had no friend and the other animals hate it so much.
At the afternoon, the crocodile could not stay any longer to the lake. It finally walked to the ground.

But that day was unlucky day for that crocodile. After getting at the bank of the lake suddenly there
was a big branch of the tree falling upon its neck. The crocodile could not move at all.

Not long after the falling branch, finally there was a buffalo coming to the lake to drink.

The buffalo saw the crocodile and the buffalo was afraid and would leave that lake soon. But the
crocodile asked it sadly to help.

The buffalo felt sad about it and decided to help the crocodile.

But after helping the crocodile, the buffalo got something unexpected.

The crocodile bit the buffalo’s leg and the buffalo shouted loudly asking help for any other animal
near it.

Kancil that was at the way to go to the Lake heard the buffalo’s voice. Kancil run quickly to see what
had happened to the buffalo.

Near the lake, kancil saw the buffalo and the crocodile.

Kancil asked: “what happened?”

And the buffalo answered: “the crocodile bite my leg after I help to remove the big branch from its
neck”.

The crocodile also said: “I’m hungry and you are at my territory, therefore I bit you poor buffalo.”

The crocodile laughed at the buffalo.

Kancil said to buffalo, “It is impossible you had helped the crocodile, thus the crocodile had the right
to bite you.”

The buffalo said, “I’m not telling a lie. I can prove it.”

Kancil said, “I believe that crocodile is right, but then you can try to prove your telling. But first
crocodile must release your bite, okay?”

Crocodile said, “Okay, it is easy, but after that I will eat the buffalo.”

Kancil said, “Okay, deal.”

The buffalo laid the big branch at the former position, upon the crocodile’s neck.

After that suddenly kancil said, “Lets run buffalo, lets run!”

The buffalo and kancil run as fast as possible and the crocodile had realized that it is had been fooled
by kancil.

The crocodile was still trapped there and there was no one helped it.

One day there was a fisherman fishing in the sea. The fisherman was fishing alone on his small old
boat.
That day was not a good day to fish. The fisherman got none of fish even he had been fishing for
several hours.

The fisherman could not stay longer for fishing if there was no fish eating his bite.

He was bored and hungry. But he thought that he had no fish then he would have no money for his
family.

He was confused and sad.

He prayed to the God for his lucky.

He decided to fish for more few minutes and if he got none then he would back home soon but if he
got one then he would continue to fish.

After praying, the fisherman changed his bait and fish one more again.

Not too long after he threw his hook, a fish bite his bait.

Finally, he got one.

After that he was so lucky, he got more and more fish easily. His boat was almost full of fish and he
could go home and sell the fish.

On the way back, he saw something at the sea surface. It was like a buoy moved round and round.

The fisherman moved his boat closer to it to see clearly. It was like what he thought, that thing is a
net with the buoy at the surface.

If the buoy was wobbling, there must be some fish trapped at the net.

But whose net was that?

There was no boat except that fisherman at that area. It meant that the net was a missing net.

The fisherman took that net to see what kind of fish which made the buoy wobbling. It was a dolphin
trapped at that net.

What a pity dolphin.

It was a beautiful dolphin with white colour and it was rare kind of dolphin at that sea.

The fisherman took it free. The dolphin looked happy after that. It swam around the fisherman and
jumped three times before it finally leaved him.
A month after that, the fisherman met that white dolphin at the different situation.

It was a cloudy day and the fisherman was still in the middle of the sea.

The storm would come soon and the fisherman in a hurry prepared to back home. But it was too late,
before the fisherman closed to the beach the storm was coming.

The wave was so high and the fisherman’s boat was slowly sinking.

The fisherman could not do anything else except trying to swim. But he was too old and he could not
stand any longer.

At that moment the white dolphin came and saved the fisherman.

The storm was over and the fisherman was already at the beach.

He did not remember how he was there but what he can remember was that the dolphin had saved
him.

He looked at the middle of the sea and he saw the white dolphin jumped several times.

One day, at the farm there was a hen with her 7 eggs. The one of those eggs was too big for the usual
hen’s egg. The hen did not understand how she had that egg but she still took care of it.
At one morning, all of those eggs cracked. There were six cute yellow chicks and one big black and
ugly chick.

The mother did not understand why one of his chicks was too big and black and ugly. That ugly chick
also grew too fast than the other six chicks.

All chicken at that farm laughed at that ugly chick and every day they mocked him.

That ugly chick was so sad. He felt different and ugly and he was so shy of his appearance.

One day, the ugly chick decided to run away from the farm.

He asked the other bird about his kind but there was no bird knew about him. He was more and more
sad and lonely.

He walked slowly near the river to get food. He saw his appearance at the river and it was true that he
was so ugly and different from the other chicks.

When the ugly chick went alone, a man come and caught him. The man took it home and kept it in a
stall.

Every day that man gave some food and water for that ugly chick. He was saved actually but he felt
alone inside that stall.

He can see the other chicken outside the stall. He did not understand why that man did not release
him outside the stall.

The chick grew bigger and he did not know how long he had been in the stall so far.

He did not know yet how he looked like after he grew bigger.

What he knew was that all chickens on that farm were afraid of him. That made him became more
and more sad and felt ugly.

One day, the man released him outside that stall because its stall was not enough for his size.

He can feel a little bit happier because finally he could walk around.
He saw a big and beautiful bird came close to him. That bird was as big as him and has so very
beautiful feather. He was afraid and the he run away.

Near the pool at that farm, finally he can see his appearance. He was the same with the big bird he
had seen before.

Then he understood that he was not a chicken but a bird. Then he came to that bird and asked about
his kind. He told all of his sad stories to that bird.

Finally, he knew that he was a peacock and he was happy because he was not alone and ugly
anymore. He was a beautiful peacock with his new family.

One day, kancil was so thirsty and wanted to drink to the river.

Near the river, he saw a big lion tried to eat a small rat. The rat was so desperate and could not do
anything.

Kancil felt pity about him and he actually was also afraid of the lion. But kancil had to help the rat.
He thought hardly and he had an idea. He walked closer to the lion and said hello to them.

Kancil said, “Hi guys, you all looked so happy, what kind of game are you playing now?”

The Lion said, “How dare you come here small animal, who are you? Oh, lucky me, I can also eat you
now. I’m so hungry.” The lion roared.

Kancil said, “I’m the king in the jungle. I’m not afraid of anything even human. I will eat everything
that made me angry even it is a big animal like you.”

The lion was a little bit doubt about kancil.

He said, “You are a king? I don’t believe you. How come a small animal like you become a king? Can
you prove me?”

Kancil said, “Of course you do not know me. You are a new comer here. I am a king and all animal in
this jungle respects me because I am a strong animal that has no afraid of anything. You can ask that
little rat if you do not believe me.”

The lion said to the rat, “Is that true poor rat?”

The rat already knew that Kancil said a lie and tried to help him.

The rat said, “Yes that is true. He is the king; a very brave king. “

The lion said: “Can you give me a proof? If you lie to me then I will eat you?”

Kancil said, “I eat a lion yesterday and I still save the head in the hole near the river. So, I am not
afraid of you. Follow me to see your friend’s head in the hole.”

The lion began to scare. But he is too shy to be looked scared. The lion follow kancil to go to the hole
near the river.
Kancil said, “Here we go. I let you see that lion head. But you have to know that I will eat anyone who
had seen that head. Just prepare yourself.”

The lion began trembling. He scarily looked inside the hole so that he did not clearly see something in
the hole except the shadow of his head.

The lion thought that his shadow was the lion head that had been kept by kancil.

After seeing that hole, the lion run as fast as he could because he was afraid that kancil would eat
him.

Kancil and the rat were laughing. There was nothing inside the hole except clear water so if anyone
saw that hole in a day they would see their own shadow at the surface of the water.

Long time ago there was a princess who was suffer of the witch’s magic.

Actually, the princess was very beautiful and kind person. Anybody loved her except her sister who
was so jealous of her.

If the princess still had her beauty, so every prince would prefer to marry her rather than her sister.
One day, the sister ordered a witch to change the princess beauty into an ugly face.

The witch gave a bottle of poison to her to be added into the princess food. That poison would change
princess’ appearance into an ugly one.

At the evening when the dinner started, the sister added the poison into the food for the princess.
Nobody knew about that. The princess ate her food without noticed that there was a danger inside
her food.

After eating, in the night, the princess’ skin was blister. The princess felt hurt and she cried to ask for a
help.

No one could help her even the physicians in that kingdom. The princess was looked so scary like a
monster. She was so sad and shy because anybody was afraid of her. Then she ran away and away
from the kingdom.

She walked alone through the deep forest day and night. She was like a monster so that no animal or
predator was brave to close to her. That made her more and more sad.

She walked until she reached a beach and then she felt so tired because she never had a rest from
walking.
At that beach she began to sleep. She did not realized that she had been sleeping for three months
and she woke up because there was a very handsome man come and woke her up.

“Wake up dear poor princes.” The man said.

“Oh, who are you? Why are you not afraid of me?” the princess asked.

“I am the king of the sea. You have been sleeping here for three months in suffer. So, it is the time for
me to help you. I will give back your beauty but after that you will never get your previous life.” The
man said.

“Oh, my lord, you are so kind. I have lost my previous life so I like to have the new life. What should I
do my lord?” the princess asked.

“Follow me to come closer to the sea.”

The princess followed that man walked into the sea. After touching the sea, the princess’ beauty was
back to her. She also amazed that the half of her body was a fish body.

“Now you cannot stay at the land dear princess, you will forever live in the sea like the fish. But don’t
be sad. I will marry you and you will be the queen in my kingdom.” The man said.

Since that, the princess never went back to the land. The king of the sea married her and she became
the queen of the sea.

Sometimes she appeared at the corral to see the sun. Some tailors or fisherman who had ever seen
her called her a mermaid.

In a faraway grassy land, there were an ant and a grasshopper who were talking to each other.
The ant was working and the grasshopper was enjoying his time did nothing and making mock to the
ant who never stopped working all the day.
The grasshopper said, “Hi, you poor small ant, why don’t you sit behind me and sing together. This is
beautiful day right?”

The ant said, “I’m so sorry I can do that because I still have a lot of work to do.”

The grasshopper said, “I see you every day do the same thing collecting food. How much food you can
eat in a day so you never stop collecting food? You better play with me here now and forget about the
food. There are a lot of foods here that you can eat alone a long your age.”

The ant said, ”I’m so sorry I can’t do that. I eat only a few foods but have to collect food as much as I
can to be kept when the winter coming. I do not eat this food alone because I have to share this food
for all of the members of my family.”

The grasshopper said, “I think you all are stupid. You can eat all of this food here every day without
collect it first. Okay, just do your job and I will just enjoy my day every day.”
One day, the winter was coming. All grass and plants were covered with snow.

The ant and his family enjoy their food in their home along that season and they have no need to get
out finding any food because they have enough food to be eaten until the next season.

How about the grasshopper?

Because the grasshopper had no food and home like the ant, the grasshopper could not stand living in
the snow in which the snow was covering all of the grass and plants.

The grasshopper was frozen and dying in hunger.
