1. Highlights of NSTP-LTS
- NSTP is a one-year formative process which adopts a two-pronged approach:
classroom sessions with reflection sessions, and area work experience. For me, I can
say that there are 3 highlights in the NSTP-LTS.

 Area Work- In our area work, we are tasked to teach or impart learnings on Alternative
Learning System in Zamboanga City High School Main. Last February 1, 2020, we
started our area work with a “Get To Know You” session so that we can communicate
and be friend with the ALS students. On the following weeks, we are tasked to give a
lecture regarding on Financial Fitness.
 Culminating Activity- Last March 7, 2020, we had our culminating activity in Ateneo de
Zamboanga University Campion Hall. ALS Students from ZCHS Main, Manicahan
National High School and Mercedes National High School were also present. This is the
SACSI’s way of extending their gratitude towards the ALS learners and everyone
enjoyed it. First, it started with a program. It was followed up by games and intermission
numbers and lastly, lunch time.
 Graduation- This coming March 14, 2020 would be the NSTP graduation of the
National Service Training Program Students. The incoming graduates will receive a
certificate in finishing their NSTP course. The College offers three (3) sub-programs
under the NSTP namely: CWTS, ROTC, and LTS.

2. Learnings I had in NSTP-LTS

My NSTP during this semester was quite challenging and taskful. Challenging
because I am not really a patient person and I’m not that good when it comes to teaching.
Taskful because there were lot of things to do and accomplish that made me tire every
Saturday. But because of NSTP-LTS these challenges were cope up. I was able to impart
knowledge to ALS learners and I really felt accomplished. On the contrary from what I had
expected, it gave me fun and bit of excitement throughout. On the other hand, I’ve realized
that NSTP also served as an eye opener to us students, as we become aware of the current
situation of our country--poverty. I have learned the value of having a family who can
provide their basic needs. I’m very fortunate that I am going to a school with quality
education. I realized the blessings that I have right now, that I’m indeed fortunate enough
to own the things that I own right now. I also felt gratitude with the kind of different
families in that community because even though their condition is not that good and they
encounter problems in their daily living, they are still happy and fighting in every
challenges of life. Every day I have the opportunity to learn and experience something
new. I should seize that opportunity, learn from it and use it to change the world even in
little things that I do. NSTP-LTS had served as a stepping stone for me to see new things
outside my boundary.
