Activity 1: Ways to Respect Life

Every day you have numerous opportunities to show respect for God’s work of creation in
yourself and in other people. Respecting life means protecting oneself and others from harm,
but it also means valuing life in everyday ways. The following chart lists some ways people
sometimes do not show enough respect for what God has created. For each action on the left,
describe an alternate action that shows a greater respect for life.

Taking Life for Granted Valuing Life

Ignoring or neglecting a person who is Encourage a person to continue on living and never
developmentally or physically disabled give up. Further, We ought to be the ones helping
and encourage them, not of the ones who victimize
them, and even for those of us who do not have any
disabilities, we could perhaps take a lesson well how
adapt to them in every circumstances they require
assistance with because they are the most
vulnerable people who require assistance. This is
what God intended for us to do, and we should love
our neighbors, as said in the bible.

Using negative self-talk, such as, “I’m so Despising yourself makes you hate what God made,
stupid. I hate myself!” and I've learned from my life experience that at the
end of the day, no matter what we just have ourself
and God, especially when you're fighting a quiet
struggle. Thus, why would you waste time hating
yourself if it is possible to love yourself? Just be
yourself, live your life to fullest and be a positive
thinker and never let the negative things get you.

Encouraging someone to terminate an Children are the ultimate gift to any couples, married
unplanned pregnancy or single, deliberate or unexpected, and each of us
has no power to terminate someone's life, especially
those of infants; encouraging someone to terminate
an unintended pregnancy is a huge error. Children
have the right to witness the wonders of the world
and to die with dignity.

Neglecting an elderly person who needs care First and foremost, we must look after the old person
who need assistance. Because, they are unable to
perform the things that we can since they are now
old and frail, as opposed to when they were younger.
Despite the fact that they were not blood relatives,
they were still people like us. Respecting, loving, and
taking care of someone who in need, especially
elderly.

Not showing compassion to a person who is People must also be conscious that anyone who is
suffering struggling requires compassion. Compassion is the
sibling of kindness, but it goes one step a little
farther in that it holds an eagerness for all people to
be free of pain and misery. It is a resilience and
expressions that can bring people together, and it is
designed with a willingness to help.

Smoking Smoking has a lot of negative impact on our body,

thoughts, and lungs. Our body is a blessing from
Heaven that we must take care of as it is a fragile
one, and because of this action, you would be the
one who continues to suffer at the end of the day.
Thus, you have to stop while it’s still early before it’s
already too late.

Practicing bad eating habits—either eating Bad eating habits have a variety of bad
unhealthy foods or routinely undereating to consequences for our health. Life is the most great
be thin blessing that God has bestowed upon us. It is
essential to take care of it and do not harm our body.
Somewhere at end of the day, we shall be
reimbursed for our acts once we are old. Therefore,
we must begin to live a healthier lifestyle and
appreciate ourselves so much more.

Driving while under the influence of alcohol You are jeopardizing your valuable life. Constantly
keep in mind that self-control begins with you and
ends with you. If you genuinely valued your life, you
should take a break where you are and wait until you
are able to drive freely and safely without causing
any harm and prevent such danger happens.

War that endangers the lives of civilians War has never been a solution to any problem, and it
will always be a terrible sin and disaster since it may
cause chaos and terminate someone's life who is not
in favor in this disastrous event, and as we should all
know, we don't have the authority to take any
person’s life. If we can just talk it all out, then that
would be much better and come to an agreement in
a civilized manner and it would be preferable than to
jeopardizing and endangering everyone's life. Life is
extremely valuable, and if you value your own, you
should likewise value the lives of others.

Using contraceptives such as condom during It is not just right because if this were a legal and
sexual activity. ongoing practice, many young people would believe
that it is right and safe to engage in. Furthermore, if
you don't want to have a family in the first place, you
should not engage in any sexual activity in the first
place, especially if you are not married yet.

Supporting the capital punishment or death Life, as I previously stated, is the most valuable gift
penalty of the government. that God has bestowed upon us. Every individual
deserves a second opportunity, and we also have no
power to terminate somebody's life, just because
he's the most immoral man in the world. As sinners
in this world, let us give each other a chance.

Domestic violence against children and This isn't really right, and will never be right in the
women. eyes of everyone and God. First and foremost, we
should not be doing any violence to anybody since it
may have a major impact on victims and even result
in their deaths. Let us put an end to all violence and
live in peace and love for one another.

Prostitution It’s not easy to make a judgement in here, because

everything has its own reason. There are a lot of
women who are single mom and needed a cash to
pay for their bills, foods for their children, and other
things that a family needed to continue on surviving.
