Affirmative action is a policy that tries to give disadvantaged groups of society more

chances in the job or academia by considering their color, ethnicity, sex, faith, or nationality

(Kenton, 2021). To counteract societal inequalities against an impartial observer, affirmative

action provides support to groups identified as being discriminated against in the past or present.

Through different ways, such as demanding particular quotas be reached whenever hiring,

awarding grants and scholarships, and rejecting government money or agreements to

organizations that do not meet the requirements, affirmative action programs try and effect

change.

Equal opportunity is a state of justice in which people are treated equally, without being

inhibited by arbitrary hurdles, preconceptions, or preferences, unless specific inequalities can be

acknowledged clearly (Bika, 2019). The Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEO) does not

promise that people from disadvantaged minorities will be hired. The goal of EEO regulations is

to ensure that no one is discriminated against or has problems since they belong to a specific

subgroup (Bika, 2019). EEO dictates that you cannot dismiss a contender even though they are

Hebrew or Christian, African or European, or pregnant. Likewise, you cannot advertise jobs that

require applicants to be a specific age, nor you cannot promote male dominance. you can only

make these decisions based on each person's demonstrated ability, productivity, as well as other

policy goals, not on prejudices towards represented class.

Diversity management is an institution's conscious effort to acquire different people and

create an engaged workforce that appreciates and safeguards all its employees equally by

offering resources to learn from, interact with, and appreciate differences between individuals

(Reiners, 2021). Organizations may now recruit and manage staff from all over the globe and in

multiple time zones due to technological advancements. Organizations are launching particular

plans and practices to improve employee engagement, advancement, and performance of staff

from all origins and nationalities (Robbin, 2021). The laws and initiatives are aimed to build a

friendly atmosphere for groups that have previously been denied access to employment and

higher-paying occupations.

Adoption of affirmative action, diversity management, and equal opportunities are key

pillars that can be applied in boosting and achieving better human resource management. These

pillars help to eliminate the preexisting prejudice and other issues that make human resource

management complex. Diversity in the workplace provides a wide range of viewpoints.

Employees are much more likely to get a wide range of talents and expertise because they have

varied qualities and perspectives. As a result, personnel in a firm with greater workplace

diversity will also have access to a wide variety of viewpoints, which is extremely useful for

planning and implementing a strategic plan. Again, Inside the organization, diversity and

inclusion make all staff members feel valued and appreciated (Reiners, 2021). Workers who feel

recognized and appreciated at work seem to be pleased and remain with the organization longer.

Organizations that have applied affirmative action and diversity management have

experienced lower employee turnover. Therefore, this means a good performance of the

organization. Staff members develop a sense of belonging towards the organization and are less

willing to quit due to the firm's focus on diversity. In addition, Affirmative action encourages

individuals and other formerly disadvantaged groups to pursue higher education and provides

them with equal representation and wages irrespective of gender or color. Again, affirmative

action leads to an increase in the nation's economic general growth and accumulation of human

resources, as well as possibly higher living conditions and per capita spending.
