- Motivation is the decisive factor in turning good thoughts into immediate action. It
can turn good ideas into businesses and have a positive impact on the world around
you. Nothing can be achieved without motivation. There is no goal post or purpose
to aim for.
Motivation reflects something unique to each of us, enabling us to achieve valuable
results such as improved performance, improved well-being, personal growth and
determination. Motivation is a way to change our way of thinking, feeling and
behavior. Motivation means we know we have to do better. That means we know
that we can be better.
MODULE 22
HUMAN ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AFFECTING MOTIVATION
My Teacher
I know I wasn’t the best behaved
That you’ve ever thought
I know I got distracted
much more than I ought
I didn’t pay attention
every minute of the day,
And admittedly, my favorite time
was going out to play
Yet determinedly you taught me
Putting me to the test
Encouraging my efforts
as you made me do my best
Some lessons were a challenge
but you taught me how to cope
Each day I grew in confidence
Ability, wisdom and hope
I really now appreciate
you made me learn through fun
Thank you so very much
For all you’ve said and done.
